Brussels Charleroi connections

Hi,

I've got a four hour connection at Charleroi on my way home on June 4th. Does anybody know if there is anything to do nearby? Or if the airport has an exec lounge?

Thanks

Likely some other members reported that post as duplicate, and the post has been removed. That happens often with duplicate posts;-(

Although they rebuilt the airport a few years ago (before it was not much more than a shed) they still only service budget airlines so I don't think there is any kind of executive lounge there. It's also in the middle of nowhere so no there is nothing to do. Charleoi itself is a very boring industrial city so not even worth the bus trip into town.

Buy a magazine or book and be thankful you only have a 4 hour layover.

Have to agree with ronaldo. I live in Brussels and Charleroi is about 50 mins from the centre. It really is in the middle of nowhere. Nothing to do round about with only 4 hours layover. Just find a seat and wait it out. At least it's not longer.

What about food and drink prices? Is it normal airport prices? Is it worth taking the bus to eat/drink somewhere cheaper?

No, it's really not worth it. Just find a seat and settle down.
