First check that the airport in Milan is the one that you expect to go to.
Then work out the luggage charges you will have to pay,one pce hand luggage of max 10kgs is exactly that!
Everything extra must be paid, all details are on their website
Thanks, yes would make sense to check their website..I guess the luggage costs will be a huge factor, location of airport as well!!
(Gotta say I am very wary of them, but the flight was nice and short! )

2 hours 30 min 55.00 Ryan Air
Versus 12 hours 45 min British Airways, 176.00!Edited: 2:45 pm, April 26, 2013
I just read 158.00 for baggage charges on Ryan air..now it all makes sense...
How can BA take 12+ hours? Seems a bit strange. Have you tried leaving earlier or even from EDI?Edited: 3:27 pm, April 26, 2013
The catch is that Ryanair don't fly from Glasgow. They fly from Prestwick, which is 50 minutes away.

It's going to be one or two changes with a longish layover or two.
Also they fly into Milan Bergamo which is about an hour away from Milan
BA to Malpensa MPX is a minimum of 4h30 via LHR with BA. £120 all in including a bag. Easyjet also fly to MPX from Edinburgh.
Ryanair are headline cheap but fly fromm Prestwick to Bergamo. the also don't land until nearly 2300
All airlines will charge you extra for transporting bikes. you have to weigh up all options and decide what is best for you. Personally I'd go Easyjet from EDI.
Thanks everyone..I will consider all options, I really enjoy a shorter flight, 12 hours just too crazy long!,,maybe the one from BA to MPX will be the best bet!
