New York to Hong Kong - Question

Our flight leaves New York at 1:30 am, Day 1, and arrives in Hong Kong, Day 2, at 5:30 am. The flight is 16 hours.

Does this mean that the entire flight will happen during the night?

If you are asking whether it will always be dark outside, then the answer is probably a no. This flight likely uses the polar route so it flies over the North Pole region before going through Russian and China. You should see daylight during the middle of your flight.
