Vueling

We are travelling from marseille to bologna and this seems like the fastest and cheapest way. Is this a legitimate airline? Any experience out there?

Flown them many times. They are owned by Iberia. Personally I really like them but no doubt someone who once flew then years ago and they were late/rude to them/lost their bag/made them cry etc etc will be on later telling you not to fly with them or you will die and people will dance on your grave.

I have booked from Cardiff to Alicante & my experience thus far is awful. Tried to enter API information on website but it would save any details. Called customer service @ 75p per minute & despite selecting option to speak in English I was connected 5 times to someone who could not. Eventually spoke to someone who took my API & assured me everything was in order - it wasn't, information still not saved & cannot check in. Called them back & was lied to 3 times in the same conversation. Still can't check in. No response to email sent to customer service. Wish I hadn't bothered.

Try this number someone had a good experience with them today.....

rang Vueling - not the charge by the minute number but the 34931 518158 number. I was not kept waiting long before a very pleasant young woman answered my call and processed the payments. She was everything that you could wish an airline call centre person to be - patient, cheerful, helpful and efficient.

Let me suggest, when you ring them, that you take a "more in sorrow than in anger" approach. No one likes to be yelled at - even if you feel justly aggrieved by multiple frustrations. I am pretty sure that airline employees know that all in the garden is not roses - they hear the same stores multiple times, so once you calmly describe the problem they will probably recognise it and know how to fix it.

Why am I so positive - I just had two problems with bookings and payments solved, one with Vueling and another with a first tier airline. Each time we ended up laughing and parted on good terms.

Seems that people get mixed experiences calling Vueling. I have to say that I've not yet had a problem and had to call them. Better calling the Spanish number via Skype or so than pay 70p p/m to use a UK number. Must be frustrating though if you have issues calling them.
