Connection in Philly

My husband and I will be traveling from Pittsburgh to Punta Cana in a few months on a Saturday with US Airways, with a connection in Philadelphia. I just realized that our connecting time is only 50 minutes. I don't have much experience with this airport, and am not sure if this is at all realistic. Our flight leaves Pittsburgh at 7:35 AM, arrives in Philadelphia at 9:00 AM, and then we leave Philadelpia at 9:50. Any opinion on this would be much appreciated. Do you feel we should try to change to an earlier flight? (There is another flight that leaves Pittsburgh at 7:00 AM, giving us another 35 minutes to make our connection. However, US Aiways appears to charge $75 per ticket to change to an earlier flight.)

Thanks in advance for your help!

You should be fine as long as your first flight is not delayed. I would not pay to change this flight. I thought US would charge you $150 per ticket to change, and then any change in fare? In any case, I would not bother and would leave as is, because 50 minutes is plenty of time.
