Hi All

for some reason know only to TA our last post has been closed down.

I dont know if this was because we had wandered away from the original topic today or not.

So I have decided to re-post - Has anybody as yet received their new tickets from MAS for the cancelled flights to Mumbai, New Delhi, Paris and/or London.

Looking forward to some positive news

Hang in there, Sydney Traveladdict & aussieRos!

If I'm not mistaken from their post, Infoaddict and Jockeygirl received their email confirmation on 16/3/2012.Jockeygirl flies out on 8/5/12(KUL/CDG) and infoaddict on 12/5/12 (KUL/LON).

AirAsia X were definitely behind the time schedule of a month in issuing the email confirmation but it is good to know that these two members got their email confirmation less than 3 weeks before their departure.

And most importantly, the email offer details were exactly the same details which these two members had previously requested in which this previous request was made about 2 months prior to the departure date if I'm not mistaken.

So I say hang in there and keep the faith. Your email should be coming through.

Thanks everyone--was able to check our flights on Mobile MAS. Only our KUL to BOM flight is there, though.

I received the e-ticket exactly two weeks before my flight. Our AAX ticket though is open jaw (return flight from DEL), so I'm still waiting for the MAS replacement flight.

Thanks everyone!!! You're all so helpful... Shall be doing some calling and emailing if I don't hear soon. At least some are getting tickets and emails so that does give me some hope.

it is good to see people slowly receiving their tickets!!! so it now seems if you booked return tickets from the same destination that you will receive a return ticket from MAS and only those that are entering in one way and departing the other will be sitting on the edge of their seats waiting or their return sector ticket............

I have just proved that Air Asia will you apart when doing Online Web check in to get you to pay.

They do NOT show you where you are sitting until you print the ticket........then when you call up and ask them to move you they make you pay $15 per seat!!!!! which is more than what they charge you online when you go into Add ons!!!!!

So you cannot tell me it is not Policy ...........written or otherwise

Just back from Vietnam and good to see that many have their tickets now. Have a great trip everyone.

I have just been reading a friends blog re their return to France a few weeks ago,. They live on their barge in France, they've just been home to Perth for a couple of months and taking two grand daughters back with them for a holiday, friends do not have a return ticket as they don't know when they will be coming back. Their experience at Perth airport makes interesting reading, for those of us travelling to Europe (when our tickets come through). My friends not involved with AAX but it shows what is being asked at the airport,

"At the check-in counter, we had a bit of a scare when the lady staff asked us for a copy of our return itinerary, which of course, with the exception of Rachel and Shannon, we did not have. After some lengthy conversation, she deemed that it would be OK to fly to Europe as long as we could show that we had sufficient funds to pay for a flight out of Europe and she issued us with boarding passes for all three flights from Perth to Paris via Singapore and London.

After retrieving our baggage at CDG we approached the Immigration counter and we were a little apprehensive considering the issues raised at the Perth check-in desk, however the French Immigration officer simply looked at the passport photographs to verify that we looked the same, stamped the passport and we entered France rather quickly. There did not seem to be any Customs checking as we simply waltzed past them without a glance at our baggage."

When we got to the airport in Perth en route to Vietnam, we were asked to show our return ticket. I don't remember this being asked before on previous trips.
