Booking in advance for Caribbean travel?

We're traveling to Turks and Caicos in July (2011.) Any thoughts on when to purchase tickets (from Boston?) Right now two round trip tickets comes to $1,200 including taxes, etc. Will I get lower rates if I wait? Any preferences for airlines? (I've been thinking of trying Jet Blue.) Thanks!

No one knows if by waiting you'll get lower fares. You can't base this year's fares with what happened in previous years too. The fare you mentioned sounds good to me. However, it's up to you to decide if it's good enough for you.

No one can accurately predict when fares will be lowest. Keep in mind that AA has been selling tickets for this routing for July for over five months, and perhaps a lot of the lower fare buckets are already sold out. I don't know if there will be a sale or more lower priced seats released.

We are traveling from July 18-25. I'm not sure what you mean by "dearer." Would you clarify? Thanks!

The expression to get dearer means to get more expensive.

Ah -sorry about "dearer" I only speak English /English not American /English

------but I am taking lessons !

We are in TCI right now -our flights from Miami cost $900 for the 2 of us (return )

So your quote looks good value to me

You could post on the TCI forum for extra advice
