How many skywards miles to upgrade?

Hi,

I can't find the answer to this anywhere on the Skywards site so am turning to fellow tripadvisors for help.

We are flying from Cape Town to Melbourne via Dubai and would like to use our Skywards points to upgrade the Dubai-Melbourne leg. Does anyone know how many miles it costs for an economy to business class upgrade?

Thanks in advance.

Hi I've just checked on Skywards & the following is the amount of miles you'll need to upgrade from Econ to Biz.

from Cape Town to Dubai = 30,000

From Dubai to Melbourne = 45,000

From Cape Town to Melbourne = 67,500

If you want to check this, go onto Emirates site, click on Skywards.

Then click on tab 'Earn & Spend' at the top of the page.

Then click on 'Mileage Calculator'

From there you can click on the relevant headings to get all routes & upgrade prices in miles.

I hope this helps.

Have a good trip, you'll enjoy Biz class on Emirates.

Carole.

If you do decide to upgrde using points, Emirates are very good with the whole admin side of the process, unlike others who make it difficult.
