long layover in miami- where to rest?

Hi, we have a 6-hr layover at miami airport with small kids. since our travel will start at 4am that day, I really don't want to do sightseeing. Our layover time is 10am-4pm - it would be hard to get a hotel since that is usually check in/check out time. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If I had that long of layover and such an early start with small kids, I think I would contact hotles close by and see if there would be any way I could check in for a few hours. Travel is hard on the little ones and it would be worth the costs for the hotel. Miami airprot is very busy and hectic so rest for them would be hard. Good luck.

If you are travelling business class or have frequent flyer status you can try the airline lounges. If you do not have either of these, some airlines sometime sell one-time access to these lounges where it may be more relaxing with more amenities, (note sometimes the lounges are just as crowded during peak times)

001traveler001: Thanks a million for the advice! AA does sell one-day access, it will be about the same price as a hotel room so that's what we will do!
