you cant kick people out in the street!!!
couldnt they have looked after them in some way??
silly me, take out insurance
I love the title____"Jetstar do a Nozzie"
Another situation where Australian customers are being treated with contempt by a Low Cost Carrier.
Some LCC's must consider insuring themselves in order to provide some basic customer care when flights are cancelled, as a bona fide cost cutting measure. I shudder to think where else they find savings.
The Australian Government should legislate and force LCC's to take responsibility, for their inability, to provide the service their customer paid for in advance.
Fourb2 the reason they are a LCC is because they have low costs. It is clearly stated in their T&Cs that they are not responsible for extra expenses due to weather delays.Thats why you need travel insurance.
If the government legislated as you said their prices would match the QF prices and wouldnt we hear the complaints then.
You always get what you pay for.
I agree drron.
thanks for the economics lesson.
Yeah, lower paid employee's, low cost terminals, less staff, OUTRAGEOUS tax breaks and incentives, no complimentary inflight services, no lounges, the list goes on and on.
So don't give me the (you know what's) about them having to charge the same as Qantas in order to take care of their responsibilities when one of their (maintained) aircraft fail, and decent people are seriously disadvantaged.
You may be happy to accept their mediocracy to save $5 on a flight. I'm saying that it is unacceptable, and falls below what should be, the basic standard of transport service provided in this country.
Your shrug and cop it sweet attitude just gives them momentum to slash away further. (No one's complaining... cool, where else can we make some money? Ahhh dollar coin entry to the in-flight toilet$)
The poor ol' LCC, they only cut services to the bone so we can get cheap flights, there's no hint of lining their own pockets to be considered in all this.
You have got me wrong Fourb2.I only travel jetstar if it is unavoidable.I have read their T&Cs and I dont like what I read.
Problem is most people are still going to go for cheap tickets without being aware of what they are buying.
Any way what do they grow up there in FNQ.It must be pretty good if you think complimentary inflight service, lounges etc should be the basic standard of transport services here. Most JQ,tiger etc passengers couldnt give a fig about those things.
Wow, Utopia is in Nth. Queensland.
You might want to put your glasses on and read what I said.
You inferred that if LCC's insure themselves against cancelled flights, we'll have to pay Qantas rates.
I pointed out that there are numerous cost saving measures employed by LCC's which would still allow them to provide a viable service for a lot less than Qantas.
Oskar you input to the discussion has been invaluable.
