Change of plane required - CX Heathrow to HKG then onto SYD?

Hi there (again!),

We're flying from Heathrow to Hong Kong then Hong Kong to Sydney (both with Cathay Pacific).

We've only got an hour between landing in Hong Kong and then taking off again to head to Sydney - so if anyone has taken a similar flight, will be required to change planes or do we remain on the same plane whilst they kick the others off???

Thanks!

You'll definitely change planes in HK. (If you were going all the way with BA you wouldn't).

An hour will be enough.

If the flights are on time, the transit at HK should go smoothly. Once you de-plane, you will have to go through a security checkpoint. You can then just walk to your next gate or in some cases, take a very short monorail ride if the gate is further away.
