Best way to book?

I want to fly Bhx to Hba but return hba to lhr. Traveling to hba with family who live there but returning alone. I can only do as two "one way" flights is there a way to do as a return? Would be Emirates out Qantas back from what I've found so far. Sorry if this is the wrong forum feel free to move!

Traveling to hba with family who live there but returning alone. - You'll need to make 2 bookings as all passengers on the booking must fly all the flights.

You could book one way for the family and an open jaw return for yourself - it could be that return flights for the family members are cheaper than one way flights (you'll need to look).

If returns are cheaper you could book them and just not turn up for the return flight - technically it contravenes the terms of your ticket but unlikely anything will happen for a one off.

Remember to avoid the shonky third party booking sites whose advertised prices are rarely achievable.

Do the "family" already have their tickets? -- sounds like it to me.
