Where Should We Go Next?

My husband and I go to the North Shore Kauai every year. We love the jungle. We love the beach and snorkeling. I want to see a monkey sooo badly in my lifetime. Any suggestions?

Hello,

We have many different species of monkeys in Nepal. Unfortunately no beach though. Research about Nepal, you might be interested to visit here.

Good luck!!!

For jungle, beach, snorkeling and monkeys try Costa Rica.

For guaranteed monkey/ baboon sightings, the following will do you:

Bali (monkey forest in Ubud)

Lake Manyara Park in Tanzania

Botanical Gardens in Singapore

Lots of monkeys in Costa Rica. The country is very well set up for tourism. There are beaches down in the Osa Penisula or Manuel Antonio where there are lots of monkeys, sloths, etc along with the beaches and jungles.

this'll be a haul, but what about south africa?

beaches, mountains, wine country and monkeys (among many other wild animals you won't see around here).... not too jungly, but the garden route gives california 1 a run for its money....

I second the central America suggestions. Belize, Costa Rica - lots of possibilities there that would include jungle, surfing and monkeys. Easy to get to from Chicago, too!

Try India, there are temples with literally thousands of monkeys in many parts of the country. Well not much of a wine country, but unmatched natural beauty in many ways.

Agree with BornVivant,

Monkey Forrest at Ubud, Bali is like a monkey zoo. You take your bananas and feed the little guys until you've had your fill. And Bali itself is a great destination. I'd give a trip here serious consideration.

My wife and I have taken 3 trips to Costa Rica, and would recommend. Here is a trip report from our first trip.

Also recommend Tambor, Tambor Tropical.
