What a great pub. Sat in the garden, enjoyed a lovely meal freshly made, served by friendly attentive staff. I enjoyed the fennel and goats cheese salad followed by a veggie burger. My husband had mackerel followed by wild garlic tagliatelle.

Popped in here on the way from Leominster to Ludlow on a dreary December day. Met by friendly staff and a wonderful proper fire. Lunchtime menu and snacks really good value and warmed us all up. Would definitely go back and try again.

Up to recently the beer at the Bakers Arms was good, but sadly the quality has recently gone down hill, a bit like the bar service, quite rude, unprofessional and somewhat miserable. Sadly disappointing.

We were here a couple of months ago and although it's still a lovely country pub, we were very sorry and disappointed with the bar service. Sadly we gathered the previous guy has gone and it's not quite the same.

Roast Herefordshire beef with all the trimmings here is superb. The chef presents food beautifully and obviously uses great suppliers. The vegetables were seasoned just perfectly with hints of wholegrain mustard and honey glaze. We also partook of the children's menu: chargrilled chicken with handocut...chips and a finger salad. Friendly staff completed the picture. Highly recommended.More

Popped into this bar just for a quick bite to eat and ended up having two courses!! All the food was freshly made and tasted delicious, especially the plum and ginger crumble. Will definitely return to try the ploughman’s as I saw it being served...to the next table!More

We called here over the Bank Holiday weekend having seen an advertising poster in Ludlow. The inn looks lovely from the outside, has a lovely cozy atmosphere and has been beautifully renovated with much charm and character. The beers are fantastic, especially the Old Prickly...ale and the food and service are both excellent. The menu is great, with food cooked to order so it took a little longer, but what they do, they do very well, and was well worth the wait. Definitely will return again when in the area.More

Having seen an advert we visited here on the way from Ludlow and discovered a proper country pub, beams, lovely lounge and dining area, and amazing outside area! Nice friendly service from the barman (with the beard), and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food...and a very good selection of beers and ciders. It's just a shame we don't live locally, otherwise we'd visit here regularly. Would certainly recommend here.More

Disappointing visit, we have never visited here before and unfortunately I do not think we will be back, we pass this place on our way to visit friends in Kingsland and thought we would treat them to some supper one evening - as neither drive...these days and we thought it would be a nice treat for them. We had not booked and we dropped in off the off chance of a table and we were made to feel really uncomfortable for not booking in advance (by the owner?) The pub was not that busy with only a few tables being taken, we ordered our food enjoyed a glass of wine (which was the best part of the visit) and waited and waited! nearly an hour went past and the waitresses looking like they were there for a social catch up (and it was apparent that the waitress did not get on with the owner behind the bar, this made for a negative atmosphere) made no attempt to keep us updated or even offer to get us some more drinks from the bar - when the food did arrive it was good and obviously freshly prepared but just too long a wait and service was very poor - maybe it was just an off day but the whole experience from poor service and a very long wait will stop us visiting again.More
