When this place first opened the food was fantastic but it really seems to have gone downhill. It wouldn't be our first choice for delicious food but they do have a great selection of desserts and coffee's. The restaurant itself is very nice inside and...can accommodate large parties. There is a nice patio and the prices for specials are really good. ie) date night with two full meals for $40More

Found a hair in my food and after 3 attempts to get the manager I was told if I wanted to "wait around" for the manager she will be over after she makes drinks for customers. There were 3 tables being used inside and 1...outside?! The manager is the only one to make drinks?? I got up from my table and caught her talking to the waitress that I was dealing with. I guess the manager didn't want to deal with me...I'm talking about a hair!! not cold food, not slow service...A HAIR IN MY FOOD! The head office was terrible to get a hold of as well...I'm sure nothing was done about my complaint. They didn't even give me a full refund for my visit..a gift card for 1/2 the amount was sent to me after several attempts to get a hold of the head office. TERRIBLE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!More

The worst food experience in 26 years in Canada! Had lunch in 'Symposium' together with our British friends who visited our country for the first time. Ordered poutine to treat out guests to something typically Canadian. It was totally uneadible! Apparently the cook has no...idea of what real poutine should look and taste like! Please be advised, that over-salted low-quality French fries mixed with burnt flower and a pinch of grated something is not a 'poutine'. Where is gravy, where are curds?! Further to this, a bowl of 'tofu with eggplant' was 95% boiled rice with some black beans, 4 strips of tofu, and a bite of eggplant 1x1 inch in size - equally bad. I was totally embarassed in front of my friends who could not eat this. Will not recommend the restaurant unless you plan to visit it without actually eating there - the interior is nice, service is pleasant..More

Several of us came here for an end of year club dinner. We had heard negative reviews of the place but we tried it anyway. The service was very slow but we didn’t mind since we were excited to be together. If I had been...in a rush, I would probably have left. The food was well plated and tasty. The daily specials were excellent and were considerably less expensive than the menu. After our meal, the manager came over, apologized for the slowness, and offered us all free dessert. All in all I was pleased and will come here again.More

After terrific visits to the Lindsay location, I decided to bring my extended family to the Uxbridge location to have lunch and a visit before attending a show at the theatre in town. We were a group of 8, including one 7 year old child,...who called ahead, and were happy to find a table ready for us when we arrived. There was only one other table seated with customers when we entered. Drinks were served quickly and were tasty. A children's menu had to be asked for. Our lunch orders were taken quickly, although not everyone had made a decision yet. This seemed to irritate our waitress who couldn't take our orders in a circle around the table. Food came out one plate at a time over the span of 10minutes! Needless to say, the first two orders that came out were cold by the time the last order came out... The last order arriving being a (cold) salad. Avocado toast came out without the poached eggs which arrived later on a side plate. California chicken sandwich came without the avocado spread. No one came to check on our table once all the food was delivered. We stopped the waitress walking by and requested the avocado spread for the chicken sandwich. She said only, "it's not my fault", and walked into the kitchen presumably to retrieve the missing guac. She came back a few minutes later, again said "the kitchen said it's on there". I opened my sandwich and showed her that it wasn't. She again said it's not my fault I'll get a manager I replied I didn't say it was your fault I just want to spread for my sandwich please. I finished my entire order of fries while waiting for the manager to come out and after watching them have a heated discussion he came over to my table and informed me that he had spoken to the kitchen and they assured him they put the spread on my sandwich, it's on the bottom bun. Now reaching a point of ridiculousness, I open my sandwich again, and show him there is no spread on the bottom bun flip the sandwich over, and show him there's no spread on the top bun he huffs and reaches across me and picks up my plate. at this point it was more important for this manager to prove the kitchen wrong and it was to make the customer happy. All I wanted what's in a ramekin of missing guacamole to spread on my sandwich! not once during any of these interactions with staff did anyone at any point in time say I'm sorry or let me fix that for you. The manager offered to make me another sandwich which I declined, as we were headed to the theatre, and everyone had finished eating at this point. I requested the sandwich be removed from my bill, and it was. The waitress did not say one more word to anyone at our table. I would like to finish this post mentioning that I am a server myself and understand how hard the job is at times. I will never return to this restaurant after being treated so rudely by both the waitress and manager.More

We were driving along and noticed this upscale café/restaurant. Were greeted immediately and seated. Shannon our server was delightful, cheerful, and knew how to take care of our every request. We enjoyed both the French Onion Soup and Cream of Broccoli - really delicious. We...shared the Chicken Cobb Salad with a lovely and hearty lemon vinaigrette - it was great too! We topped off our meal with their East/West Crepe which is a meeting of Banana and Strawberry surrounding a crepe infused with vanilla ice cream. Presentation was beautiful. We were delighted with the entire meal and service. Both the assistant manager (Jenn) and the manager Claudio came by to great us - (we were first time visitors to this particular chain of restaurants) Trust me, we shall return to try other menu items. Kudo's to such a lovely venue, complete with Italian Fresco and ambience to match. We enjoyed a great rainy afternoon.....Also, they have a great outdoor space set up for the Summer weather.More
