Gloriously and discreetly set on the top of Cape Kidnappers peninsula, The Farm is a grand host in every respect. Spectacular and serene location; sincere and attentive service; understated elegance; and imaginative food with a great wine list. We felt at home.

We lunched here as part of the Hawkes Bay Winter FAWC. A 3 course set menu is offered with no choices. The Tarakihi starter with Jerusalem artichokes was $25.00 and although sounded lovely we decided on the main course option which included a glass of wine and cost $50.00. The dish was eye fillet of beef with shiitake mushrooms, ginger... More

Please also see my review of the Farm accommodation. The restaurant is lovely offering several different dining spaces/areas. Our favourite is the conservatory as this offers unobstructed views back towards Napier. There is also a fireplace in this area to keep it warm on winter nights. The food and service are superb and the wine list is excellent. There is... More

This is our second visit to The Farm and it was just as spectacular as our first visit a year ago. The service is both attentive and prompt but not hurried. The restaurant setting is the most spectacular we have ever been to , made better by perfect days both times! Then there is the food, every mouthful of each... More

$95 a head for a 3 course lunch, in a delightful isolated setting. Wines were around $20 a glass. Silent, but attentive service, in a grand room overlooking the distant golf course, then right up the coast toward Napier. Seared scallops and peas, with roast lamb as the main. As you would expect, the quality of the produce was superb.... More

Tow lovely dinners and breakfasts in this restaurant. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. The wine list was a little daunting; while impressive there was very little under $100/bottle. Notwithstanding this, everyone hand a great time!

This is a beautiful setting and the food and service are exceptional. There was a small group of us had dinner at the Farm and the evening was quite special. Its relatively expensive but well worth the money for the experience

I did send a very high profile review some months back lauding the farm but at a recent visit I was shocked to go a so far for a fixed menu that was in town.no better than any average restaurant

The 5 course degustation was to die for and combined with the wine pairings, well, you'd find that pretty hard to beat anywhere in NZ.

Had the most wonderful lunch on Easter Saturday. The location is amazing, as was the ambience, food, and service. Simply the best lunch I have had in a long time. Not cheap but excellent value. Thoroughly recommended.
