After 1 hour waiting, the lack of interest adding poor atention was inaceptable. It is not a recommendable place for a happy time.

Celebrated a birthday lunch with the whole family. Food was sadly not particularly tasty and prepared long before eating. When paying the waiter did not count the cash at the table, but at the till. He came back staying we were short, which we weren't....However as we could not prove this, we paid the difference. At our visit to Buenos Aires, we've eaten much better, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.More

A special place to go in the middle of Jose Ignacio, taking time to enjoy the array of gourmet options it offers. My second year going and proving it gets better every day, whether it is a barista coffee preparation (yes, with the "drawings" on...the surface) or the natural yeast dough bread in sandwiches or the various dessert options to add to a great evening. The service is impeccable and know how to give you advice to choose among their menuMore

The buffet nature of the restaurant is quite unique. We had a large plate (3 sides) which was far too much food for one person. Had a local fish which was flash grilled in front of us. Very nice!

We always go for lunch. They have a good service and have quite a lot of choices to pick up, as you have a lot to choose in two versions, big and small plate. But this time, the meat we choose, two of us was not...recently cooked , and so it was dry not tasty. They did not have salads with greens, a must in the summer. They can improve, they know how.More

We recently had lunch at El Mastrador and really enjoyed it. It is a buffet lunch where you can choose a small plate or a large plate. The small plate entitles you to one protein and two sides and the large plate one protein and...three sides. They deliver the drinks to your table but it is buffet. They have private tables outside and long tables and benches inside. We sat at a long table and no one was next to us. The food was quite good we both had the wood grilled pork as our protein and it was excellent. They had several choices for sides and they all looked delicious. If you are looking for a nice casual lunch right near the beach we recommend El Mostrador.More

Came curious to see another creation of chef Trocca in the evening, ready to had goodies at tea time. The ambiance is very comfortable with options outside as well. Anything you eat is special i.e. you will have the best carrot cake you had in...your life and/or drink the very best coffee prepared by a barista. It was worth the excursion in a very nice setting, with very knowledgeable and friendly service.More

This was recommended to us by our hotel and after a long wander along sandy beaches we stopped here for some wine and lunch. It’s simple, the food very good and service great , but only open at lunch time as far as we can...see One of many small relaxed places to wander around here for a long chilled lunch ..so much funMore

If you get in sumer to Jose Ignacio, this is one of the best restaurants in the Pueblo. Relaxed, fast food in not a fast food mood, this Mostrador Santa Teresita, is a must! The food changes every day, made with local ingredientes and very..."granola" style. The service is superb and the drinks at the bar are amazing. Trendy and perfect spot open only until 8 pm.More

The team here works nonstop to deliver delightful goodies. Food with flowers is a big highlight. Choose a shared table and make friends with your neighbors. It's a popular place, so you'll see a lot of regulars milling around. Highly recommend.

Came here on a rainy day for lunch with my husband during high season. I went savory, he chose sweet. I got the large plate with three sides and a protein option. I opted for no protein and got a bean salad, cole slaw, beet...salad, and tomato + cucumber salad. As with many restaurants in Uruguay, my American taste buds craved a bit more seasoning (really just salt and pepper!) but it was nice to have one meal with a mix of healthy vegetable-heavy salads in the land of asado. My husband sampled three sweets: the almond croissant, oatmeal raisin cookie, and a gluten-free magic bar. Almond croissant was a bit over-rolled (too many layers), but had jelly on the inside which was a fun surprise. The oatmeal raisin cookie was perfect - soft and chewy, and pretty hefty in size. Magic bar was good but texturally a bit different than what we're used to in the states - less of a magic bar density and more like that of a blondie. It's cafeteria style which is casual, but pretty busy and hectic inside.More

This place is perfect. In the middle of the chaos in summer, this is an Oasis in the centre of José Ignacio. The people, the food, the environment. It is all what you expect of a place you want to chill, not get ripped off...and really have a good bite and drink. One of my favorites!!!!More

We had lunch and again dinner within few days. Two different experiences, the first super good lunch from the buffet topped with delicious but rather heavy desserts the second average dinner did not meet our expectations for the fact that it was super dark at...the table and the portions of the shared dining concept of that evening, were not enough for us event to have a full bite. while service at lunch was friendly and attentive , service during dinner had an attitude we have left with mixed feeling about the experience at this well known eatery "The end of an event leaves the lasting impression and determines the memory" ...More

Great place for lunch! Good food in an easy going place. It is better to avoid the busy hours. Try to get a couch outside, eat at your pace and enjoy the moment!

Absolutely loved the place and its informal atmosphere with its scandi-lodge design, a welcome break from the more traditional chiringitos you would normally find in a beach resort like this one The food offering was varied although a tad limited because we turned up at...4pm just as the kitchen was closing. The slow cooked pork - bondiola de cerdo - was out of this world, and the veggie acompañamientos were also truly tasty and surprisingly enjoyable for me who usually tend to stay away from vegetarian establishments... The design of the place - mostly communal tables - is really well thought out and gives it a unique flair The chef is a well-known personality on the Argentinean foodie scene and rightly so if you ask me! A must-go but be warned, they don't take bookings so you might be better-off doing like us and turning up later in the day unless you are ready to queue for a while under the scorching sun...More
