We have been before to the Plough on many occasions. Usually it has been fine. This time we chose the pie special. It was clearly a day old and had a burnt pastry top. Further it had been microwaved so that the filling was solid and the pastry soggy. It had been covered by a cheese source to mask the... More

A disappointing first and probably last visit to the Plough for an evening meal. Guess we should have been forwarned about what was to come when we were informed by the wellie clad Landlord, when he give us our rather tatty menus, that we would have to excuse the flys because after all, it was a country pub. A relatively... More

We found this pub by accident recently and have visited it now 3 times in the last 3 weeks. You get a good meal for around 8 pounds making it excellent value for money. A bit hot inside maybe but the large garden is brilliant. It was packed a few weeks ago on a hot Tuesday evening and fully booked... More

A very good find. A lovely traditional pub in a lovely village. Food was very tasty, staff were very accommodating and price was very acceptable. Nice area to have a nice walk and then call in for food.

We called in here on a Monday evening and very glad we did. Food was excellent. Menu is basic but very good. If ever we are in the area again we would go back. Staff were friendly and helpful.

You can always tell if a pub knows what it is doing by the quality of a sunday roast. So many places say that they do it but there are quite a few who haven't a clue and charge ridiculous amounts for the privilege. £6.95 for a very generous portion of Turkey, Yorky pud, roasts and a big bowl of... Visited for a drink with friends as we walked into bar landlady looked at us then walked to the other bar, we assumed she was serving another customer she then came back to the bar and just completely ignored us and just stood there, when we asked if we could get some drinks she just grunted. The atmosphere was tense, and... My first visit, just back from holiday, no food in house, tired and weary traveller. We had a genuine and warm welcome from the landlord and he found us a space to eat in a very busy pub. The staff were great and the service was good. The food was super - best chips for miles around. Good portions and... More
