Perfect place to have a good time. We often go to the bar side (tennis) and we love being there. Cozy and pleasant corner for a romantic meal! Top staff and always a big hello from the boss who comes to speak to customers, the prices are very affordable and not questionable with the quality that goes with it! Succulent house cocktail and digestive too.

Restaurant at the Maison Bois tennis club on the heights of Theux.
From the welcome and the smiles of the team, you feel good there. Two rooms with eclectic decoration, a wine cellar area and a beautiful terrace with games module which welcome customers of all ages.
The classic brasserie menu is on the paper placemat. The cutlery and napkins are in a display on the table, giving everyone the choice to use them again or change them. The tastes are right. The quantities are more than correct. The presentations are attractive. In the bill, a small coffee maker offered. All for a really nice time.

Super establishment in a cozy setting. Fast and neat service, very varied menu with dishes from the simplest to the most elaborate, very good and hearty. Very friendly staff and little care , what more to ask if it is only quickly return.

We had quite a few negative reviews but we like to make our own opinion.... Well... All these reviews are well deserved. A just mediocre experience, not to say zero .... Arrived at 7pm, the 4 tables arrived after us will be entitled to take drink order before us. We call the waiter to see if he hasn't forgotten us... He apologizes, don't worry, we think it can happen. We ask for the rosé wine of the boss as an aperitif and 2 softs for our children.... And the surprise they take orders from the other 4 tables before us.... Come at 8:30 p.m. to take our order.... An order with grilled meats for adults and my son and nuggets for my daughter. We are served at 21h15!!! The other 4 tables are either for dessert or already gone.My daughter no longer hungry eats only 1 nugget out of the 4. We just finished our dish at 9:40 pm, we ask for the addition and the rest of the 3 nuggets. We'll get 2 of the 3... No glass or coffee offered to apologize for this delay and a rosé wine of the boss at 21 eur the bottle!!!! Whether you are looking for a restaurant or eating there is much better in the area, and if you go there for the plain for your children, also, not to mention, Forest'bar or Val Dieu.... Who are much more commendable, friendly, helpful and where one eats a feast at every faith. Conclusion RUN AWAY!!!!

The welcome is polite without more, we feel rushed to place order. You have to consume, there is no drink Award on the table set that serves as a card except alcoholic aperitifs. The dishes arrive very beautiful but it is much more beautiful than good, the quality of the meat is average and the fries should be fine if the whole pot of salt had not fallen into the small metal cart. My daughter told us it's clogging her arteries! The bill arrives, (I had received a gift voucher valid until June 2025) a student with a sweater that bouloche tells me your voucher is not valid, I reply if it is a year from the date that is noted by you. Here she goes again without a word of apology, we waited for our due or another little good, a drink.... I would have left something. No one else came. The boss snubbed us as well as the other student.
Finally, we got up and left but one thing is for sure it is really not worth it other people deserve much more people

We went there on a Saturday evening with around fifteen friends for the birthday of one of us.
Regarding the food, I don't have much to complain about, everyone seemed satisfied with their starter and main course.
For my part, I had shrimp croquettes as a starter and as a main course, chateaubriand with Roquefort sauce.
Not much to say about it taste-wise!
On the other hand, and this for me is the big problem with this restaurant, the prices of certain drinks or certain dishes are excessive…
Indeed, just in terms of aperitifs: price of aperitif + €3 soft drink. Rarely seen this! Which therefore gives us a Bacardi Coke for €11 (the bottle is €22 in supermarkets and €11 in Luxembourg).
Then, let's come back to my two unfortunate shrimp croquettes for €17 and which royally contain 3 gray shrimps each.
I didn’t know that “Maison Bois” was in Knokke.
These are two examples among many others but other elements of the menu seem very high to me compared to other restaurants of the same style in Verviers which offer rather similar cuisine.
And if you plan to go there with children, make sure your children are calm and stay in place otherwise you will suffer open reprimands from the boss in front of the whole room, which is, in my opinion, a little limiting...
In short, good food overall but expensive for what it is.
There are much better restaurants in the region and less expensive for almost identical cuisine and the same quality of products.

I recently dined at the old Cerexhe restaurant in Heusy with my family and I was delighted by the culinary experience. The quality of the food was exceptional, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere warm. I highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience!

Wow, the photos are correct - especiallythe one of the ridiculously good porterhouse! Great food, expansive menu (everyone will find something delicious no matter your tastes), and fabulous service. We started with the house beer and house cocktail. Then moved to the frisee lardon salad and shrimp casserole. I had the porterhouse and my husband the ra k of lamb. Both were excellent. It was nice to select from numerous starch side dishes, the fries were very nice and the other side was a massive, diverse salad. (If I had known that I might have tried a different starter, not another salad).
Then the excellent service. Even in the front patio the servers were out there checking on us every step.
If you haven't guessed by now, I definitely recommend this place!

Practically nothing eaten.... No taste! It’s not difficult to make a salad! 😡😡😡😡
28 euros for that!
They even forgot the shrimp! (Ben yes to more than 40 euros per kilo! We con customers) 😡😡😡😡
Am really disappointed 😞
The boss is an impulsive and rude character!!!
My lord the boss.... Learn to be respectful with your customers.... The criticism is always constructive..... but apparently not at home, you do not accept it!!! Do you have an oversized ego??? 😅😃 Who do you think you are? Tell your junk cooks to learn how to cook 😃😅
Big character
I would definitely not recommend ..... tricatel

We had a wonderful experience - the food was really amazing (we good cheese croquettes, chateaubriand and meatballs a l’ancienne) and the staff friendly and professional at the same time. We’ll certainly go back next time we are in the area.

Staying in the Belgian Limbourg, we were looking for a good but decent restaurant nearby. This restaurant is located in Verviers - about 20 min away - on the edge of the center. Parking is possible in front of the restaurant for free after 6 pm.
But well what's important? How is the food? GREAT!
When we were seated (we called around 5 pm to make a reservation for the same evening - which is very much recommended if you want to have a table) we were greeted by a free dried sausage. NICE!
We started with grilled camembert and smoked salmon as starters. Often when you think of camembert you think of the breadcrumbed deep-fried version, but not this one. It is grilled and served with a apple syrup - what a combination! As the cheese is quite strong the sweetness of the "appelstroop" goes fabulously together. But watch out this could be easily shared, because in fact you are eating a WHOLE camembert by yourself otherwise.
I could have already stopped after this starter, but then the next dish was to come: Duck breast with a honey mosterd marinade and my better half enjoyed a Real Irish Rib-Eye-Steak. Both were served with tasty salad and french fries (could have chosen pasta or potatoes). Small criticism here, I think neither of these sides fit with duck breast. The only real fitting side would be rice or veggies.
We finished off with crème brûlée and lemon sorbet. Believe, I have tried many crème brûlées as I am a sucker for vanilla and that sugary crust. This one was a pretty good one (not the best ;) ).
Tip: Try their own brewed beer and their house red wine. Both really delicious!
What's left to say is that I definitely recommend this place: friendly staff, excellent food and no long waiting times.
