On a recent short visit to La Manga my wife and I dined on three occasions at Dante’s. We arrived there late on Monday evening last and even though the restaurant was quiet and near closing time, we were looked after so well by Pedro and his female colleague whose name escapes me. We returned the following evening for another top quality meal. On the evening of our final visit we were catered for by the ever smiling and singing Michael - a true professional in the hospitality industry. We hope to return to La Manga later in the year and will again avail of the wonderful experience offered by the team at Dante’s. To you all, sincere thanks.

Great choice in La Manga Golf resort

A warm welcome and good service in this very busy restaurant. Great pizza and perfectly cooked medium ribeye steak. The choice of dessert is limited but we decided to share one of the ice cream sundaes and as we couldn't decide which one to choose, strawberry or caramel, the waiter suggested we have one with everything - why not? and it didn't disappoint.

You must eat here! Superb food. Excellent and accommodating staff great value for money. Forget the Hyatt restaurants and just go here Ate here 3 weeks ago with my wife and was determined to revisit with my elderly parents now (February 2024). My wife and I are her twice and it would have have been three times but they were closed in the Wednesday. Food was superb. The fillet steak is amazing. Mike who is front of house is a great host and has a brilliant music collection which he plays during the evening (he has his own radio station). When here with my parents (the first evening) we each had a main course which was great (fuller, ribeye and pizza). Tonight we weren’t hungry and I asked them to butterfly the fillet and cook one rare and the other well and they did it beautifully. Where else would so that! Honestly, I love my steaks and this ranks up there with the best I’ve ever had. Thanks Mike and the team

I wouldn’t bother if I were you

I know it’s tempting, especially if you have kids, to be drawn to a pizza and pasta restaurant. HOWEVER, if you don’t want to wait 1.5 hours in almost 100% humidity and 80°, then avoid this place like the plague. We sat and we sat, 8.30 came and went, no one spoke to us (except to bring more drinks of course) no one explained anything. With hindsight, we wish we’d just left at that point but, as no one had (strategically) told us anything, we continued to hope that we would be served. Stacks of takeaway boxes went out of the door. Surely these people should be advised at ordering that there is a delay so as they can wait at home and the in house diners get priority?? We later spoke to people who had ordered a takeaway, only to be told at collection, that there were ‘50 ahead of them’. When we eventually challenged the owner his only response was that ‘it’s summer and he’d been their 10 years’. Well summer occurs every year, and how long he’d been there was irrelevant. We actually felt like we’d been waiting 10 years. Owner has obviously got cocky and bitten off far more than he can chew. Will never go there again.

Hoping we were just very unlucky...

Firstly, I would like to say that my Pizza that I had for dinner here was lovely, so if you are going for pizza and a beer local to the resort, this is the place for you. We were greeted by a server who seemed very nice and was helpful in finding us a table, we sat and were told that there would be a bit of a wait on food as we didn't want starters, but that was fine, we weren't in a rush. We ordered some drinks - avoid the sangria, not nice at all. When our food came, the problems started, as unfortunately, my mum's pasta was really not very nice, very bland and just below average. My partner ordered steak with peppercorn sauce, the peppercorn sauce tasted like washing up liquid, we all had a taste to make sure we all agreed and wasn't just a bit off, it tasted awful. We then told the server he responded with 'Yeah, does it taste like Ammonia?', he then explained it is the type of peppercorns they use, but the fact that he said that as a response, would make would make many think - if you are aware it tastes like a chemical compound, why have it on your menu? He then swapped the sauce, but made a bit of a fuss when doing it and attracted attention from other customers nearby. Following this, I tried some of the steak, which was very average, wouldn't come back for the steak either. Later on when we were eating our meal, we overheard the waiter saying to another table 'Yeah, can't wait for the trip advisor review on that one!', which as you can imagine left a bad taste in our mouths, almost as bad as the Ammonia! Made us all feel very uncomfortable and we couldn't wait to finish our meals and get away at that point. Anyway, here we are and here is the review you couldn't wait to read. Again, maybe this was just a bad day, but this is our honest review of our experience. If you want a local take away pizza, this place is fine.

Amazing staff!

Amazing restaurant and even better staff! Our favourite waiter in the entire complex out of any restaurants, he goes above and beyond for us and is always so happy and cheery. He is the life and soul of Dante’s pizzeria and is the reason that we will always come back❤️we love you xxxx

Great place to eat

We visited Dantes 3 time during our week stay at La Quinta. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive especially Mike who was quite a character and made the experience so much fun. We loved the slow roasted lamb shank and the delicious pizzas. I would thoroughly recommend- from the Ings family.

We always eat here when we visit the club! In all the years we have been visiting we have never had a bad meal or bad service. Garlic prawns to start with then steak or steak pasta to follow - a family favourite. We will be back next year 100%

Enjoyable evening

Getting back to normal and glad we had booked a table. Friday night was busy a great sign. As it was to be greeted by Mike. The starters of various bruschetta was delicious and tasty. The pizzas were spice and delicious no boxes required for left overs. Even grans pepperoni one was demolished, with a little help from always hungry grandson. Professional staff always helpful. Busy restaurant well worth a visit.

Brilliant birthday meal

Came here for my birthday meal with my partner and children. Fabulous place! Beautiful food and very friendly & attentive staff. My partner had arranged a cake and balloons as a surprise so the table was all laid out lovely and cake was to die for 😋 thank you to all. We’ll definitely be recommending to others and also returning 😊

Disappointing.

Having read the reviews, we were looking forward to our evening but unfortunately, the meal fell significantly short of expectations. The seafood pasta did not taste fresh while the pizzas were simplistic & stodgy, featuring dried herbs scattered over the top for seasoning. The service was okay but generally, the food offer was sadly, pretty basic. Disappointing.

Dante’s signature pizza is a winner. Just enough chilli to give it a kick without overwhelming the flavour. Ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection. Throw in Tom’s fabulous team and you can’t beat it. Great to be back.

Great service and lovely food

We’ve been coming to La Manga Club for over 20 years but struggle to find decent restaurants in the resort. This is the first time we’ve been to Dante’s and will certainly be returning - they were very accommodating for our table of 11 - fantastic service and lovely food. Highly recommend the fillet steak and swordfish!

Great steak

It’s been a couple of years since my last review, but we’ve been quite a few times in between & had great food & service. I’m reviewing our last visit on this occasion - we had the restaurant to ourselves which was very nice. Mikey was chatty as usual & I had a very good pizza & my husband had a steak which he’s still talking about. It was excellent & cooked just the way he asked. We won’t be too long before going back.

Great friendly place

Great friendly place. Came here last time we were staying in La Manga and it’s hardly changed. Had a wonderful ribeye; tasted delicious (you get so much poor quality steak these days). Sangria was excellent. There were a couple of herds of lads/blokes that didn’t come with volume controls but that’s what it’s like out of season in a gold resort.
