El Puerco Rosado is a small casual restaurant located directly on the beach of Boca Chica. It has a long history, but since 2001 we devote ourselves energetically to the felicity of our customers. Here Italy meets the Dominican Republic. We offer both Italian and local cuisine with an international flair. The menu is vast and varied, consisting of a wide selection of pasta, meat and fish but also sandwiches, salads, homemade cakes, fresh fruit juices and organic coffee. You can decide whether to eat in the dining room or in the cool shade of our garden. Snacks and juices can also be served directly to the beach to spend the day in total relax. See you there!

Beautiful beach terrible service

We sat in lounge chairs and enjoyed the beautiful beach from noon until 5pm. Not once did anyone come to take a drink or food order. We did eventually go inside the restaurant and order ourselves from a woman who looked like talking to us ruined her day; the food was excellent quality and good portions. We said we would order dessert after but no-one came by to clear plates or ask us if we wanted anything else.

I tried most restaurants in the area, and Puerco Rosado was by far the best one. The food is amazing, the location beautiful, and the staff is lovely. Do not forget to try their freshly baked cakes! Definitely recommended

Lack of customer service from several women

This is for overall business. Several issues here. Starting with service. I just cant get my head around waiters and waitresses without smiling. Also attitude from the women. I noticed the men were smiling more and more attentive. Now the food. I ordered salmon. Tell me why it was tilapia? I asked if it was salmon and they said it was. Now im not going to say i have a palette for great food but i know how to differentiate salmon from other fish. Im not a great tipper to say i give 30-50% but i like to asses based on countries. If i can tip 50-$100 in expensive restaurants in LA, i dont see why i cant leave $10 but it felt like a lot given the service. I left $3. Call me cheap but its their job to greet with smiles and be attentive.

First, my family had a horrible experience last night. we arrived at 8:00 pm and waited for dinner until 9:30 pm between stories of the waiter saying the food was in process. One thing I notice is that the administration allows those women who offer massages to go into restaurants to screw up customers, that upset us quite a lot. Other points, the waiter who served us I think was illiterate, does not know how to deal with customers, does not address customers with courtesy, the food was of poor quality and expensive. in short the place is rubbish and I think he has no idea that it is the customer service that disillusions with "El Puerco Rosado" a place that should not have the category of being loved restaurant. This place was a little better years ago. Another thing, there are very few waiters for the size of the place, which is a shame, the waiters were seen running from place to place without any organization. Surely, I don't recommend visiting this restaurant trash. Besides everything, the food was very expensive. What a mess "Puerco Rosado"

45 minutes for a shrimp avocado salad. Server is a jerk. Live in Boca Chica this place should be avoided. We’ve eaten in many many restaurants in Boca. Never come back here.

The service is good and fast, the place is clean and you can go in the kitchen and choose your food. The pinacolada is served only in a glass but it is the most delicious i have ever drank!

Lower class crowd than expected

I stopped by for the view, some drinks and a late lunch. Had to switch tables as some young “adults” at an adjacent table had a cheap radio and played bad music. Another table had loud older drunken men that appeared to be regulars. It wasn’t an overall bad experience. I’ll probably return a few times just for drinks, but I don’t plan on eating a fancy meal there.

Beautiful place , with a huge part of the restaurant on the beach ! Really nice to go there for a drink at the beach ! But my food was so disappointing ! My 'filete' was just a random piece of beef meat of lower quality , and it came totally overcooked , even though I had ordered it 'medium' . And it took them almost an hour to prepare /ruin my dinner...!

Really loved this place. Pasta was amazing. Big portion, couldn’t finish it. Calamari fritti were also super delicious. And Bloody Mary was great. Loved this place. Good food, good quality for money. Paid around 45$ for two dishes, three drinks and water.

There are much better places on the beach in Boca Chica

I went with friends, three of whom live near Boca Chica. I had linguini with shrimp. The sauce had a taste I didn't like at all. Not bright and fresh, but a muddy unpleasant aftertaste. The view is nice, but similar to many other restaurants nearby. I won't go again.

Arrived with my Wife in the afternoon, looking for a nice place to eat next to the Beach, having followed Tripadvisor's list of top places in Boca Chica we knew we had to try it, and here we go, It's located in a hard shady place to find if you're not used to it but so are other places in D.R., Service was attentive and fast, orders are placed swiftly, place is big you can eat inside, far from the beach or as in our case near the beach, their Menu has lots of delicious 😋 options not to mention their Drinks, place is between other other Bars or options so it gets really noisy and being it be Boca Chica places around get very busy with locals selling stuff trying to make a living, anything from braids, massages you name it with which you kindly say no and they won't bother you, all this we didn't mind we look as seeing new things as an adventure, But going back on track; The Food was delicious better than lots of places i've tried in NYC, we ordered the Fried Salmon for my wife(prepared nice & Crispy)with a tasty Piña Colada and for myself i had to go for the Steak wrapped in Bacon with Portobello Mushrooms with a frosty cold Presidente Beer(local brand)it was delish, sauce was AWESOME served with a side of Salad and combined with the Beer i was a happy Man, portions are big so prepare your appetite you won't be disappointed, they have very reasonable prices and you still get a view, one of our top options for eating in the area, and YES!! we will be back, hope review helps.

Horribly Disappointed

We returned to this restaurant after having enjoyed 5 or 6 meals there (mix of breakfasts and dinners) one year ago. The restaurant has changed - and uniformly for the worse. We arrived just after 9:30 for a dinner. Whereas the wait staff last year was attentive and professional, the man who served us did not seem to know what he was doing. He left the table as soon as we ordered apps - even though we tried to get him to stay and take a drink order. The same thing happened with the drink order - by which time we were ready to order dinner. Everything was horribly slow. When our appetizers arrived, we had no small plates and only two sets of silverware for three of us. I asked for both and we received the plates and he handed me a knife and fork. I said (in Spanish) that we had asked for a set, because I wanted a napkin too. The apps (bruschetta and a caprese salad were good, but not excellent as they were last year. The basil and cheese, for example were stingy servings - the tomatoes were excellent. Dinner was horribly slow in arriving - approximately one hour after we received appetizers and nearly 90 minutes after we arrived. We had a mixed seafood grill - very good, slightly overcooked and barely warm; a baked fish in coconut sauce - good, not fresh tasting and also barely warm; and chicken vegetable soup - so salty we sent it back, and also only tepid. We had an 8 year old with us - making the slow service torturous. There was a full compliment of wait staff and only 5 or 6 table (of more than 30) occupied. Finally, when our waiter brought the check, after two requests, he explained - volunteered - how we should tip. We wrote a sterling review in early 2018 - we will not go back again. There are many, many better values in this beach town. Perhaps all of this explains why what formerly was a well attended, romantic Italian restaurant was empty on St. valentine’s day. Avoid El Puerco Rosado, sadly.

Dear robk869, we are deeply sorry about your dining experience. And even more sorry since you chose us for a special night like Valentine's day. We had to go through a heavy staff change this year, and we are sorry that your waiter was not able to serve you well. When we read that he ASKED you for tip, we were astonished! This is not acceptable at all. Since he and other staff members confirmed, we fired him immediately. To ask for tips is not only rude and respectless, it also goes against our policy, and even more so if the service was not good.
