We come to Lanzarote 3/4 times a year and we always come to la cabana at least twice while we are here. NEVER had a bad meal or a dish we didn’t like.Deb always makes sure my daughter has what she likes and the steak...is to die for!!! Every dish is served beautifully! My husband craves the sticky toffee pudding throughout the year at home and I the bread and butter pudding! ❤️More

Very attractive restaurant a short taxi ride from Puerto del Carmen; great welcome and lovely service. And wow, the food is stunning. Great wine & cocktails list. Breads with flavoured butter and olive oil, followed by perfectly executed salt & pepper squid. Foie gras was...soft, rich & delicious; loved the contrast of the apple accompaniment and crunchy toast. Iberico pork was pink (perfect) and tender with beautifully roasted parsnips, cauliflower, squash, mange tout and pea shoots. Perfectly paired sauce, incl quantity. Deffo worth saving room for dessert - soft bread & butter pudding with caramelised crunchy top. Cherry cheesecake was unctuous; lovely balance of sweetness and salty cheese. Very reasonable prices for quality and quantity of food delivered. Great to have a table next to the kitchen to chat to the chefs during service; a real privilege. I’ve reviewed this place before, in 2014. I’ve since eaten here another 3-4 times, including twice this year, in June and October. I think the highest praise that I can give La Cabana is that I always know, in advance, that everyone in my whole...party will have an exceptional experience, because La Cabana just never seem to put a foot wrong. I don’t think I’ve ever had a disappointing dish here. Everything is well thought out, beautifully presented, and tastes great. I especially enjoy the specials…always worth very careful consideration here. That attention to detail extends even to the bread before the meal (hot, fresh, 2 different butters plus olive oil) and the glass for my pre-dinner beer (pre-chilled). Not rocket science, no - but it’s all too common for even a really nice restaurant to drop the ball on these little peripheral matters. If I could give them 6 stars, I would. I honestly think this restaurant would be threatening the top of the TripAdvisor leaderboard in just about any European city, if transplanted there.More

First visit here and really please we came as it’s slightly away from the main resort. The restaurant is split into three areas which is nice, we sat next to the kitchen which was calm and organised. Service was efficient but relaxed, menu is small...but when it’s good that’s not an issue. Really like they do half bottles of wine (had the Rioja which was fab). Highlights were the fish special and the iberico pork both cooked to perfection. Also the beef with noodles excellent. Salt and pepper squid a bit forgettable and could ease back on the sauces on the mains but these are small points. A really enjoyable evening for €120.More

We almost missed out on this fantastic restaurant but Debbie fitted us in on the Tuesday (our wedding anniversary) and the meal was amazing. Can't believe we have never been to this restaurant before but it is definitely top of our list for our annual...visit to Lanzarote. Thank you Debbie and the team for a wonderful evening.More

We discovered this restaurant on the 2nd week of our holiday and visited it 3 times. The food is excellent, fresh ingredients, brilliantly cooked . There is a staple menu with daily specials of a starter, soup, a fish and a meat dish. There are...vegetarian options too. I cannot find fault with the food. The service was quiet, unobtrusive, helpful and altogether excellent. I thought it was reasonably priced tooMore

A brilliant meal and service. Sat outside and had 3 delicious courses. Friends really enjoyed - so thanks to all the staff for being attentive - and for the food being wonderful. PS love the tarragon butter!

Amazing experience. This is truly “fine dining”. In fact it was so good, we went 3 times during our holiday. The environment is cosy and the staff are friendly but the food is the absolute treat.

La Cabana Macher is quite the hidden gem, it’s sort of in the middle of nowhere and by that I mean not in the touristy places close to the beach. It’s a 10-15 minute taxi from our hotel in puerto del carmen but SO worth...it! We found it on trip advisor and decided to try it based off so many 5* reviews. The entrance is very deceiving because it looks like you’re walking into someone’s house (which you basically are) it doesn’t scream fine dining restaurant but never judge a book by it’s cover! We received warm bread, butter, oil and pickles on arrival which was brilliant. For starters I had the confit duck bao bun, it was incredibly fresh and tasty. Bursting with flavours. My mum had the fish cake from the specials menu and it was so lovely, full of fish and not overloaded with potato like you sometimes find . The fish sauce accompaniment was gorgeous! My dad had the salmon which he loved and my boyfriend had the prawn salad which he said was the best he’s ever had! For mains me and mum shared both the fillet steak and the lamb rack. The herbed rack of lamb was bursting with fresh flavour and cooked to perfection. The red wine jus was amazing. My dad had the catch of the day from the specials menu which was a local pompano fillet served with mashed potatoes and a lemon butter sauce. It was so tasty and well cooked. The fillet steak was my highlight of the meal, cooked to perfection and the mushroom truffle butter was divine. My mum isn’t usually a fan of truffle but even she enjoyed it. The crispy belly pork was nice however Nick said he had to spit back out a lot of tough fat. But that’s literally the only negative out of the whole meal. He still enjoyed the majority of his pork. We finished off with a white chocolate toblerone, amaretto and raspberry parfait which was a lovely ending to a gorgeous meal. We were also given complimentary dessert wines as well as shots on the house while we waited for our taxi. Instead of a tip, Deb took a donation to go to the dogs in the local pound which was fantastic. We really enjoyed chatting with Deb and finding out about her and Darren’s venture here in lanzarote. We have already recommended la cabana to our friends who are coming to lanzarote soon and we will definitely be back next time we’re in lanzarote, this is not one to miss!More
