We have been going for years and this is an excellent place to catch up for breakfast. If you smile at the staff they smile back. Good quality food and excellent coffee. Very clean and family friendly. Good menu with plenty of choices reasonable priced too. Well worth the visit.

Located in a lovely spot at the very end of North Rd this cafe overlooks the beach on Port Phillip bay We popped in for a quick lunch following a lengthy walk along the beach side. The service we received on arrival was friendly and we were promptly shown to a table. From that point on however our experience deteriorated... More

For respite poste jogging/exercising/cycling or walking tethered pooches, in companionship or alone around part of this area of the Bay, I can recommend heartily the pleasure of sitting down within/outside or covered, being served by charming staff to a full range of beautifully prepared and presented offerings to eat/drink, being surrounded by habituated locals reading the 'dailies', or catching up... Deep fried almost burnt stodgy breakfast with terrible indifferent service. Run by youngsters and a learner chef?

I've been going to this cafe for years. Very pleasant location down by the bay, next to a large park and playground. The cafe's been totally consistent in these ways: a. relaxed and friendly service b. large servings of good, fresh and inventive food c. dreadful coffee (the owner told me that if I didn't like his coffee at North... This is a restaurant that has occupied a prime beach front location for many years. It is a busy place on a weekend. The food is mass produced and tastes like it as well. The staff are indifferent to the task at hand and errors are, well just part of life, so get over it. While acknowledging the challenges of... More

This place is on our walkways and often we have coffees, but on this occasion we had lunch. Although staff is friendly and helpful I have to say our meals have been very average. We had wrapped falafels but will rather call salad with two falafel wrapped in. Even it said on board falafel with yogurt and mint, there wasn't... More

I think this would have been one of the worst meals i have had in some time...uncooked and cold..i had a late breakfast meal..sending the plate back so i could get propely cooked sausages..etc..the plate came back with the same food that had been reheated..of note i had begun eating some of the food returning the very same bitten into... This cafe is situated on the beachfront of Brighton beach. Stunning place to enjoy the view with a drink, snack or meal on a sunny day, or any day in fact. Food is nice at prices consistent with most cafes/restaurants in the area. Friendly staff and reasonable service time. We've been here many times and enjoyed it every time.

This place was great in the past. Having not come in the last 3 years have tried it twice in the last few months and both times not impressed. Wait staff seem aloof and does management if you raise any issues. Food was bland and nothing special. Shame as it was good in the past.
