Yes, it's a cab ride and yes, it's worth it!! Make a reservation for the outdoors deck at sunset. Then, order some of their delicious food!! We had a fabulous meal there! Finally- don't miss the homemade chocolates!! divine... we were so glad we went..

Basically the frozen capuchino was milk with ice. Food was just ok.The place has a nice view. Staff was daydreaming and they seem to not care about us. There are many better options in Monteverde.

5 Bubbles for the gorgeous view and the scrumptious chocolates. Food was ok. Unfortunately the empanadas were fried (instead of baked) and just OK (I'm pretty spoiled - there's an awesome empanada cafe near my home) Others in my group had the cannelloni and the chicken mole. OK food. Come for the sunset view!

We came here to eat after the (not to be missed) chocolate tour/presentation. So we were honour-bound to taste the merchandise: a mug of hot chocolate was delicious, as were the various lunch choices on offer. We rounded off a calorie-laden meal with some truffles from the shop.

At the recommendation of our hotel, we ate here for lunch after a nature walk through the nearby preserve. The food was a welcome change to the traditional food we had been eating. I had a delicious chicken satay salad and my husband had a mole wrap. Both dishes were fresh and flavorful. The highlight though was the chocolate cookies,... More

Wow!! what a meal. It was fantastic. The food was amazing (shrimp curry, steak wrap and steak). The Argentinian empanadas were delicate, delicious and had we not wanted to try the other food we would have filled up on more of them. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting and most of all the host, Susana, was so kind, welcoming and... More

We were very excited to dine at Cafe Cabure and we were not disappointed! The restaurant is on the third floor of the building and the balcony overlooks the road and forest beyond. The empanadas were wonderful. Everything was homemade and delicious. My husband had steak and I had the lasagna. They also have sandwiches, curries and seafood. Our waitress... More

I cannot say enough about this wonderful little Argentinian cafe, our dinner was so good, we returned the next day for lunch before leaving town! It is a little off the beaten path, but I promise you it's worth it! I had the Sea Bass for dinner & lasagna for lunch, they were both excellent. Don't forget this place is... More

Booked in for a meal here during our stay in Santa Elena based on good reviews both on here (although I really should know better with regards trip advisor reviews) and the write up in lonely planet. 8 year old son had a burger which tasted rather like somebody had taken raw mince and squashed it together to form the...
