I cannot say enough about this wonderful little Argentinian cafe, our dinner was so good, we returned the next day for lunch before leaving town! It is a little off the beaten path, but I promise you it's worth it! I had the Sea Bass for dinner & lasagna for lunch, they were both excellent. Don't forget this place is... More

Booked in for a meal here during our stay in Santa Elena based on good reviews both on here (although I really should know better with regards trip advisor reviews) and the write up in lonely planet. 8 year old son had a burger which tasted rather like somebody had taken raw mince and squashed it together to form the... I'm a chocolate lover to my core and especially love brownies, so I tend to be critical of them. This placed served me the best brownie I've ever had, hands down. Definitely try the Argentine brownie with dulce de leche and walnuts. Amazing. The chocolate and passion fruit mousse was pretty good but the chocolate was a little gritty. The... More

We had the beef empanada and shrimp wrapped in bacon as starters. Both were yummy and highly recommended. Then we had curry shrimp, filet mignon, chicken mole, and lasagna. Other than the veggies we didn't leave a speck in the plate. Delicious and highly recommend Cafe Cabure!!!

Stopped by while waiting for the bat tour. Tomato soup - superb, burger succulent and flavorful, "death by chocolate" - disappeared from the plate before I had a chance to take a bite. Great view of the forest .

We wanted something close to the hotel (Trapp Family Lodge) and found Cafe Cabure. It will enter the books as one of my best meals ever while traveling! The filet migon was perfectly cooked and so moist! The Chimichuri sauce was a tad different than what I'm accustomed to - I'm guessing it had more herbs and less garlic than... More

We wanted some variety without going all the way into town from El Bosque Lodge so we tried this place. The food was divine, the smoothies ("juices") were special, and the service was friendly. We went back again the next night. The desserts include chocolate made locally. They have a nice view too!

We took the chocolate tour with Bob, whose knowledge and friendly approach made our trip extremely insightful and fun. We particularly enjoyed the tasters and were proud to have made our very own truffles by the end. We then ate at the restaurant and took a few truffles away with us as they really were the best chocolate ever. The... More

I visited this restaurant on a trip to Monteverde from Canada. My table ordered the hamburger and fries (fresh cut!), chicken wrap, Empanadas, Chicken soup, and the death by chocolate brownie. Everything was so fresh and delicious, one of the best meals I've had in Costa Rica with a beautiful view especially if you can catch the sunset. Also be... More

Our family really enjoyed this restaurant for lunch. Highlights included empanadas, hamburger, fries, tomato soup, hot chocolate and ginger lemonade! All was very fresh! And the empanadas were the best I've had outside of Argentina. Sit on the patio and enjoy the butterflies.
