My friend and I had the degustation there the other week. To describe our dining experience as “disgracefully poor” would be a gross understatement. For $115 we felt EXTREMELY ripped off. The food was bizarre and tasteless, to the point where we didn’t finish two of the courses as we felt ill after the Pork Belly. Staff members were intrusive... More

A dining experience with a difference. Lovely food, but the portions were minute some very tasty, others average. Quite expensive for what was served up although the meal was paired with tasteful wines. The wait service could not be faulted with the waiter explaining in great detail the composition of the meal and the reason for the pairing with each... More

I had the degustation. High points included the excellent Salmon with wasabi sorbet and kombu, perfectly cooked beef and onions, and the delicious Barramundi with brandade. Less good were the optional cheese, which was fridge-cold, with soft crackers, and the petit four, which was a macarroon flavoured with, I was assured, Cuban cigar, which tasted like a full ashtray. To... More

Petite Mort parades itself around as a premium dining experience. Really, they just feed off the chance to charge $115 pp (or $185pp with wine pairings) because they mention the word degustation and expect Perthites to froth over anything they dish up. No seasonality with produce, no originality with dish creation and the wine pairings weren't wine pairings...they were basically... More

We had the 3 course dinner for our wedding anniversary and while all the dishes are wonderfully crafted and presented, the portion size will disappoint those with a big appetite. Still, we can't complain given the scarcity of restaurants in Perth with a chef obviously prepared to take a few chances with creativity. The passion fruit soufflé was divine.....

My partner and I dined at the venue for the Saturday night degustation menu, which is $115 per head. The menu for the night was excellent and we enjoyed all courses, despite not necessarily eating some of these elements under normal circumstances. There were some lovely extra touches throughout the night and they they notably tried to make these offerings... More

Our second visit here. The first visit was underwhelming so we didn't return for a few years. Tonight's degustation fell short. No paired wines (at least, not offered to us) was a shame which would have elevated the experience. The wine menu was strong though not many options by the glass. The dishes were lovely, and beautifully created but lacked... More

This place is fantastic, well fantastic if you're a person who appreciates good food in the style of nouvelle cuisine. If you are looking for a huge steak, forget it. The service, amuse bouche, entrees and mains were all terrific and the deserts including a lovely soufflé were soon tasty and flavoursome . The service, impeccable and friendly, ambience rustic... This place is worth a visit. From entering the restaurant the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff are friendly and informative. The food is incredible and every bite was different and exciting. Well done to the chef! As far as price goes, for $115 you get alot of great quality food, and paired with nice wines this would...
