Long wait for cold food

Very disappointing visit to this place today. Had 5 of us wanting a spot of lunch and pub classics are always a favourite and my husband had enjoyed good food here in the past. We placed our order (which we had to adapt because at 1pm on a Thursday they were sold out of Fish & Chips and Bangers &... read more

I had a "Sirloin Steak/Chips/Saffron Rice", which all 3 were excellent top quality well valued priced evening meal. I was let down by the steam veggies. They were poor quality the vegies, like poor frozen-food quality. I accept Pub-food often has to use frozen veggies, but these veggies were either overcooked or just lacking freshness or just poor quality, I... More

I stayed here in December last year when visiting Sydney for a few days and it has to be the worst hostel I have ever been to. Seriously it was more tempting to sleep in the park under a tree. As soon as you walk into the hostel it looks like a dump. There is rubbish, clothes and even food... More

This hostel was one of the cheaper options in Bondi Junction, but I suggest forking out a little bit extra as this place was horrible! There were no sinks, the toilets smelt horrible, no toilet paper and doors slamming all night. As a party pub, the noise wasn't really the issue, it was the lack of any sort of hygiene... More

DO NOT STAY HERE! If you like being woken up by people fighting, arguing, playing music at all hours... OH! And don't forget the drug taking then definitely stay here!!!! I'm up for a laugh and a few drinks but when you have work / plans early the next morning and there's people 'stoating' about off their faces at 3... More

We were looking for a simple meal (lunch) and at 12.30 on a Wednesday the place was nearly dead despite the Pie and Beer deal for $15, and the reason I guess was the horrid smell. Something that is a cross between stale beer and urine. There is no sugar coating this place other than it is rammed at night,... More

Been to this place 3 times in 2yrs. food ok and nice looking pub, however the ambience is cold. Went in Saturday lunchtime & the bar staff looked like they did not want to be there and poor customer service (only about 5-10 people in bar and barmaid taking her time to serve me) Atmosphere was so cold and unfriendly... I visited this pub many times while in sydney. It was always great craic and the sunday sessions are always great and bacon and cabbage absolutely make the sunday session. Thursday night used to be my favourite until they stopped bacon and cabbage playing and replaced him with another singer who is good but so loud you cant hear yourself... More

I drink Guinness. A lot. This by far is the best pour of the beer I have had in ages. It's a Tuesday night and lively with a gal playing the guitar. This is my type of bar - friendly, straight forward and no fluff. Note, this is cash only. 50 should be enough to have a good time, provided... More
