was there in family, the waiter was explaining that something was not working in the kitchen. it may happen. but we were recommended to take some shrimp pasta or wild deer pasta. the shrimp pasta came @ 110hrk ,12 Euros full off cream and some traces of shrimp hard to discover . I would not arguing about the price if the food would have been tasty. was not the case.the place is nice to be visited but have a look on menu before ordering/accepting proposals.

Poor man's sea food

As you do not have a lot of options to dine in Beli this konoba seemed like a good option. After receiving the wine and the starters we decided to go somewhere else as the wine was rubbish and the octopus salad was all potatoes, no octopus and no taste. Seeing what was served on the other table (all the others were empty despite the high season) I thought no other place could be much worse. Staff was pretending to be kind, but while we were there they were sitting at another table smoking and drinking, including the cook. Would not recommend it!

We stumbled upon this place by chance, and what a lucky chance it was for our delicate palates! We had lamb under peka in wine and it was great! As if we were invited to some friends' house and his grandmother did the cooking. Un hour later we left happy and thinking how nice it would be to come back in this place again.

The worst in Cres! Expensive and rude!

The worst experience in Cres! The staff, initially courteous, proved to be very rude, intractable and aggressive as soon as the inn filled up with customers. We ordered two dishes: a mixed grill of meat for 16 euros with only four paltry pieces of meat and a plate of gnocchi ("Tris di Beli") apparently tasty and abundant but decidedly raw inside (perhaps defrosted too quickly?) . When we pointed out that the gnocchi were inedible, the head waiter was deeply offended without wanting to admit the mistake, only after some insistence did he propose to change the dish for another. Waiting for the dish to replace their mistake resulted in missing the ferry. Also be careful when ordering water: we had asked for a liter of still water because it cost 3 euros on the price list, but then he brought us two half-sized bottles and made us pay 6 euros in total. Having pointed this out to him at the register, he got angry again, telling us that we should have specified that we wanted water on tap, but in our opinion the price list was misleading. And he NEVER apologized for the dish mistake anyway! Really very RUDE and exaggeratedly EXPENSIVE!

Delicious dinner & lunch at this small restaurant on the edge of village of Beli. Fresh seafood, perfectly cooked meats, fresh salads and tasty local wines & beer. Friendly service too! Highly recommend.

Osteria, which has nothing of the tavern. Terrible experience, there is no menu outside to get an idea of the cost. 14 euros for 2 chicken skewers, and luckily Croatia should be cheap... The guy serving very rude, even though we tried to speak any language. Finally you can't even pay by card, only cash...

We came here on holiday and found this tavern that already noticing it passing us impressed us a lot and we decided to try it one evening for dinner and what about, all wonderful, from the food to the location to the staff! All friendly and welcoming, make you feel at home! P.S. if you go you absolutely must try the trio of dumplings! Sono leggendari!!!!!

Terrible food and massively overpriced

I ordered simple grilled squids. They had a gummy texture and were served half cleaned. Not recommended, especially taking into account very high prices. The service was not friendly. The place itself however has some charm in its decor..

We got some wild deer with gnocchis and it tasted like a christmas dinner after a long trek ! Local lamb is nice as well. Inside you have tons of relics from Roman history on this part of island. Ask to see it !

Nice place between the old town and the beach

The restaurant has the most friendly and authentic atmosphere in the town. The waiter is very funny. Not so fancy, more like a pub with food than a restaurant. This is the place where you can meet with the local people as well.

We came here as we were staying up the road and wanted a change of scene. We came twice after a lovely meal that was rustled up for us given it was a bit low season so few people around. The selection is pretty good and the lamb dish or gnocchi very good. What was most lovely was chatting to the owner about life in Beli over the last century. Very welcoming and kind..

Not recommendable accomodation

We shortly stayed in the very nice village of Beli, which we really appriciated the village and the magnificent seaside. But the only accomodation that we found for this night was the one of the rooms above the restaurant, owned by the restaurant. This accomodation doesn't have the sufficient parameters to be offered as such. The rooms is very small and dirty, not air conditioned, above the oven of the kitchen, a tiny window, which all together makes it impossible to stay there during the summer. The bathroom is commonly used and very dirty and uncomfortable. Especially a scorpion prevented us from using it. The price of 40 € per night is too expensive (for the region and for what it offers) and the owner seems to not be aware of this. Just to make sure, we are travelers open to very various experiences and forms of accomodation, but we had to leave this place at 5 o'clock in the morning because we could not sleep. Out of this experience we did not have the chance to try the offer of the restaurant, but one thing we can advise to other guests is: don't go there to sleep!

Excellent Local Food

As usual, when visiting Beli, meal at Konoba "Beli" was unavoidable. Traditional dishes were superb as many times earlier. This time we enjoy in two excellent local meals. First, lamb boiled and under the lid with polenta and bread dumplings and the second one, "double" gnocchi - homemade gnocchi (with nettle) with a topping of mushrooms and ham and gnocchi with beef stew. Outstanding domestic apple pie was as desert. Very good red wine crowned this "Lunch to Remember". Ambient is great and service was very friendly. We strongly recommend.
