Simply the best

Dear all, I visited the restaurant for the first time in 2015 and immediately fell in love with Prosciutto. For hot lovers, I recommend chili sauce, which they will bring you additionally. I later switched to a Picante and I simply won't buy another one. I ordered 2 times a week and once at an event the owner brought pizza to our house with cans of Coke as a favor to the business. I moved to Ostrava, had this pizza from about 20 or more different businesses and it is simply a disaster and more expensive by up to CZK 100. I'm always happy when I find time to go to Istria. However, I recommend going to Istria Velké Losiny, about 10 km north of the city, where they also have a hotel. The pizza is the same, and you don't have to have a reservation, without which it's harder to find a place in Šumperk. In addition, they are also open on Sundays in Losiny. I've had pizza in China, Singapore, France, but probably nothing compares to this restaurant. Oliver

Best Pizza

Pizzeria Istria is one of the best restaurants in the area, and the team members are some of the kindest I have known. My first trip was in 2012 or 2013, where I spent nearly each night here visiting friends from Sumperk. I took my mother here a few years later when we returned for a visit because I knew she would love the pizza. The hospitality, and comfortable setting fills you with joy (and pizza).

my first good experience with pasta in CZ

I really like pasta however I was afraid to take it in Czech Republic. Istria broke my fear and I can say that their pasta is great. Above that, children loved pizza of course. Service was good as well. Only process of payment took a little bit longer. But probably it was cause by busy time around lunch time. Price is very good as well! Over all my experience is excellent!

Place looks ugly, pizza was the worst I ever ate, my husband ordered shrimps and got foodpoisoned. Never again!!!

The worst pasta ever

We expected quite good pasta because of all review on TA, but the expactation was wrong… only one pasta without cream contains so much garlic and oil I’ve ever ate… drink- aperol - was small, so sweet and without prosecco… rather to go for ready to eat pasta from supermarket next time… service was quite good and kind, but the rest was awfull…

This is by far the worst pizza

This is by far the worst pizza I’ve ever had, tasteless,cold and bland. Service is awful and unfriendly, cheap food and terrible customer service. Will not be returning!!!!

Pizza was prepared fast and tasted well. There were many people as well which shows it's popularity. Definitely a place to go in Sumperk.

Nice place, still isn't a true Italian restaurant

We had two dinners at Istria. The kitchen here is open until 22.00. The restaurant has only one menu in english and not all of their staff speak english. Prices are moderate. A lot of locals. Our food was ready in ~ 15 minutes. Pizzas were well made, with thin dough. However, their pasta (fettuccine with chicken) was not so pleasing. The portion was big, but the pasta was served with strangely large pieces of mozzarella-like cheese, dropped into it. Also we noticed some weirdness in menu, for example, pizza Margherita is offered with olives (which is not a classic version). With all above said, it is a nice place, which still isn't a true Italian restaurant.

Simple pizza and pasta menu

If looking for pizza and pasta then here is the place. The dough is really good and starter of parma ham is plentiful. The restaurant is quite small so for Friday and Saturday you will need to book. Located in main street you cannot park outside. Close to Hotel Elegance and other restaurants. Not open on Sunday

I wrote my last review of Pizzeria Isteria in 2014, we always go at least once per trip and travel to Sumperk 3/4 times a year. Really looks like THE place to go now. It has always been excellent and the staff stay, which must mean they are happy there. It's #1 in Sumperk for a good reason.

Cheap ingredient

The fun of an Insalata Caprese is that it clearly shows the qality of ingredients used in the rest of the kitchen. Not so much in tomato but in mozarello, oil, vinegar. In this restaurant this was visible: no good. Ok pizza itself was little bit better. Crowded, popular place

Good cooking.

I´m a regular visitor. I usually give a salad and it´s always excellent - fresh vegetables, tasty chicken. The service is always nice, helpful and quick.

Nothing Special

Nothing special food-wise with pizza that seemed as if it was basic canned tomato puree on the base. More importantly, the service was inattentive and disinterested. Plus - why sell Stella Artois in a country with some of the best beers in the world?

Fast and delicious

Excellent pizza which you can watch as it is being prepared. A lot of toppings to choose from. Also a good choice of pasta. A place where you can take visitors if they like this kind of food and they won´t be disappointed! Fast service, comfortable seating both inside and outside in the middle of the pedestrian area. I reccommend booking the table between 12 and 2 pm, and between 6 and 8 p.m. Unfortunately, it is closed on Sundays.
