First time for us. This place amazed us. We made a reservation for the R.A.T. (really amazing taste) menu/ experience. The apitizers, bread and the so many well prepared and detailed courses took us on an amazing adventure😃! The combination of tastes, the nice selection of wines combined with an excellent service made us fans of Ratatouille!🤩 (coronaproof ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

But that would not be fair on those owning/working for Ratatouille, it deserves the very highest accolades.
We had a superb dinner for my 50th birthday and had chosen the friends playfood menu. What that entails I saw on their website, "25 dishes, around the world", but that did not do the experience any justice.
Dish after dish is EXQUISITE, the TASTE, the PRESENTATION, the sheer effort that must have gone in every dish, it is phenomenal.
Service is of course great, friendly and clearly very experienced.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, but we were lucky with the strong summer of 2018 and were seated outside in the charming garden (someone put a lot of thought in that too).
We very much enjoyed local wine from the Maasvallei and the final bill was more than reasonable.
As soon as we are near the Belgium / Dutch border again we will return forthwith to try out one of the other dinner options.
Thank you, Ratatouille, for a truly great experience!

What an absolutely super evening. Chef Baerct obviously enjoys preparing these 25 dishes. They reflect his passion and creativity as an artists pallet reflects his choice of colours. Whilst Len and Saskia explained each dish in detail, for us it was about texture and flavour more than the content. Each one made you think and query.
Len, Johas and Saskia looked after us with professionalism, friendliness and superb attention. Five hours is a long time but they never flagged or ceased to make you feel special.
I enjoyed watching Johas work. His attention to detail and overall ability is worthy of any Michelin starred restaurant I have been to ( and I’ve been to an awful lot) and yet his birth age says this should not be so.
Both Saskia and Len giggled easily which made for a very relaxed evening. The restaurant itself has a superb ambiance. It is almost like being invited to someone’s home.
Each dish leaves you thinking ‘I would like another of those’ until you realised, like Hansel and Gretel, there appeared to be a never ending supply of goodies. Picking a favourite would be impossible.
There are so many good reviews for this restaurant that this one will probably be lost amongst them; but it is really just to say thank you for a wonderful experience.

For us a new concept, pre-order and no waste food. So at the time if reservation you choose for one of the 2 menus. The restaurant offers a cosy and modern atmosphere, staff is professional and the host is a very friendly lady. The menu was excellent, of course fresh and the pairing wines were surprising and just great. Parking in front if the venue. We had a great evening and we will come back for sure.

We had here a lunch with a big group (with a fixed menu and the suggested wines). The food was refined, creative and tasteful. The suggested wines were however too basic - an obvious mismatch with the good food. I would recommend a good restaurant to refuse to serve such basic wines.

I used to have a very good experience with this restaurant, but I was quite disappointed during our last visit (with the whole family). Service was below expectations, not too friendly, while prices were relatively high .... Maybe we were there on a bad day ........

Last night we experienced a culinary journey that far exceeded our expectations at Restaurant Ratatouille in Maaseik. The theme of the evening was "Latin Summer Barbecue and Tapas", and this was perfectly reflected on the beautifully newly decorated terrace. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed by hostess Saskia and her team, who with her charm and attention to detail created an atmosphere in which we immediately felt at home.
Chef Brecht enchanted us with a series of refined dishes that ticked the taste buds and took us on a journey through Latin America. Every dish, from the tender grilled meats to the perfectly seasoned tapas, was a feast for the senses. The subtle balance of flavors and the freshness of the ingredients showed the passion and skill of the chef.
The terrace itself was a haven of peace and conviviality, ideal for enjoying a balmy summer evening. In a lovely friendly atmosphere it was up and to enjoy.
Saskia and Brecht (and their team) form a duo that perfectly feels what their guests want: quality, atmosphere and an unforgettable experience. We look forward to returning soon to this hidden gem in Maaseik.

We celebrated our 20 years together there. It was a great experience. The service is very friendly and does everything to satisfy the customer. The food is sublime. All flavors come into their own. We got to know unprecedented flavors. For us it was our 2nd visit. We will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone.

Very good welcome, very cordial,
