Loved the pub, good atmosphere and beer. we won the pub quiz, but the quizmaster said we didn't as he didn't want to upset the locals! Not that important, but a shame as we had such a nice evening.

We had, luckily, booked our table as it was busy. We sat in the dining room area and although disappointed that all the chicken curry had gone, the lasagne made up for it. The cheeseburgers were, I'm told, very good as well as the fish and chips, giant Yorkshire pudding and very large gammon steak. The deserts were OK (the... More

Without pomp and circumstance, a good old fashioned carvery. Absolutely yummy food. I had lamb. There was tonnes of meat and all the usual veg. Just like my Nana used to do! All the staff were friendly and helpful and I got to hold a puppy too!

Was looking forward to seeing the riverside beer garden but most disappointed! The garden is a concrete yard with benches. Smell of frying pervaded the yard. Couldn't even see the river due to a wooden fence. Beer was good though. Not worth a second visit.

The kitchen does back on to the beer garden hence the kitchen smell which most people say are nice smell. The fence is their due to it been a river and can be quiet rapid flowing some times and if anyone fell in they would say well their should be a fence More

We visit Whitby several times a year and always visit the Bridge at least once. The beer is great and so is the food.

Went in at 7.30pm to have the Sunday carvery and was told they had finished serving (despite advertising food until 8.00pm). There was no apology and no real sense of feeling sorry. I would not go back again.

After my last years visit to The Bridge Inn at Ruswarp Whitby I looked forward to returning this year. However even... More

Me & the Wife have just got back home from an unplanned evening meal down at The Bridge Inn & once again it was spot on. We both had the fish and as Whitby people, we have sampled the fish in most of the places in town. Without doubt, this is the best. Great Chef, Great Hosts, Great Beers, Great... More
