We have had two wonderful lunches at the pub since the reopening last week. The food was great and the garden was glorious! The staff were extremely friendly, professional and efficient and Covid safety was paramount! Can’t wait to come back soon!

After months of not leaving the house and the pubs finally opened, we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at The Black Horse my favourite place to eat and drink. Friendly and attentive staff working incredibly hard and food, as always, delicious. Thank you Team Black Horse...already looking forward to our next visit!More

Fabulous location and excellent menu. Love the pretzel bun burger. Ham hock starter also fab. Only complaint is with the Bubble & Squeak - perfect, except for the fact it had tonnes of carrots in it. Bubble and Squeak is cabbage and potato, not carrot!

Came to the black horse for a Sunday roast, 2 options beef or chicken breast. We all went for the beef, the Yorkshire was huge and everything tasted so nice, roasted parsnips and carrots and potatoes, leeks and cabbage. Then for pudding I had the...chocolate and caramel fondant with vanilla ice cream, it was amazing!! There’s only 2 things I would have liked even more would be a steak knife to make cutting the beef easier and an extra jug of gravy 🤗More

Just returned from the Black Horse. Party of 7. We hadn't been here for years and it was a great evening! Beautiful pub interior, sublimly delightful food and good adherence to social distancing. Great offer of any 6 main courses for £60. The 2 children...in our party shared 1 of the mains and it was plenty. Special shout out to our server, Maddy, for superb service. We shall return! xxMore

We came here because a TV show we like was filmed here. The staff couldn't make us feel more welcome. They sat us at the same table the show was filmed at, and told us many wonderful tales of what the filming was like. They...indulged us as we recreated scenes. It was the highlight of our weekend in the area. The food was also delicious! All Covid laws were adhered to by all staff and customers. I was sad when it was time to leave.More

Had a great Sunday lunch. Sat inside and everyone was socially distanced and food and drinks were left near the table to collect. No issues at all. Felt perfectly safe and good entrance/exit arrangements. Easy to pay etc and after diners left tables and chairs...were wiped down. Well worth a visit. Booked by email for the table inside and our special requirements were met.More

Pretty sure dogs are not allowed in the main dining area, but give them a call to double check.
