A superb dining experience, delicious food complimented by a superb wine menu. Thoroughly enjoyable and definitely one of the best in Brugge I’ve been to.

Great setting, delicious well balanced food and menu. Perfect and friendly service in a cosy classic room. Good choice of à la carte foord and wines too. Reasonable priced monthly menu

I selected this restaurant due to the good comments here on TripAdvisor and it was a good choice.
First of all I was enlightened by the friendly welcome and to be accepted despite the crowded terrace
I made my choice for the menu , had as degustation salmon with apples and bread, as a starter a baby lobster , main dish fish and Tiramisu for dessert
The taste of everything was fenomenal, the combination of tastes and presentation was perfect, even the coffee was more than complete
The friendliness of the lady of the house was exemplary and I warmly recommend this romantic restaurant to everyone

From entrance to exit we enjoyed a wonderful relaxed evening with very attentive service coupled with the chef's knowhow. For me, where the chef really shined was in the vegetables who were prepared so naturally and the sauces which were in perfect balance.
Add in some good champagne as an aperitif and a very good elegant Languedoc wine and you're set to spend a time away from all worries.
This restaurant sets itself a higher barrier as their price range is higher up but delivers outstandingly.
We'll definitely be back.

Perfect place to come for a family dinner or lunch, before or after a nice walk trough the countryside. Nice welcome by the lady of the house. Well balanced menu and à la carte.
I had asparagus with smoked salmon and grapefruit, very well cooked. Afterwards I had fried veal sweetbreads with mashed potatoes and leek.
Others had a fish with couscous and vegetables. Portions are rather larges.
This restaurant is high end quality regarding price.
It's not very suitable to come with small kids. Population is rather +50.

De Pepermolen is located in a very small white village called Lissewege. Although close to the industrial harbor of Zeebrugge nothing of its activity permeates here. A hidden gem.
When we entered the room was rather cold. Only after an hour or so became the temperature OK. Clearly they should turn on the heating earlier before the customers come in.
The service friendly. We went for the lunch menu. The starters were good: a creamy chicory soap or a salmon salad. As main course we had a choice between fish and meat. The steak was very tender. The dessert was abundant but no wow.
Including a good red wine we payed close to 30€ per person.

The Pepermolen is a nice restaurant in the heart of Lissewege. They offer regional cuisine with a French touch. It becomes quite expensive when you eat à la carte. That’s why we chose the menu (soup, starter with local fish, main course with lamb and a dessert). You are waiting quite a time between the different courses, but that probably comes from the fact that courses seem to be prepared à la minute (because they are steaming hot when you get them). The owners run the place: the one cooks the other serves. All in all you are dining in a very warm and friendly atmosphere.

the atmosphere is quite pleasant. The lady of the house welcomes you very kindly.
A la carte or 1 menu. We all (4) choose the month's menu.
Very nice. Choice of wine : very nice list, with even a lot of choice in half bottles (37,5 cl).
Service quiet good unless the dresscode of the serving ladies has to be better.
A place where you can talk to each other without annoying music.
A place to go back!

Went here for a lunch, 2 courses. As starter a tomato and Belgian shrimp salad with mozarella (a bit strange), very tastefull. Main was sea bass with mash patatoes, mushroom and leek (more straw...). Perfect fish, but the vegetables could been beteer.
Overall a nice place to eat, specially in the garden.

We were in "De Pepermolen" on August 21st 2014.
As soon as we walked in we felt welcome and were treated as real customers.
Then when the food was served we were blown away.
* Champagne & aperitif snacks
* Baby Lobster "Belle Vue"
* Soup of roasted peppers & mascarpone
* Sorbet with champagne or vodka
* Beef tenderloin, grilled groentenspiesje, pommes Pont-Neuf "
* Soup of strawberry, lime and mint, white chocolate, vanilla ice cream
All this acompanied with a glass of super white house wine and a superb bottle of Margaux
If we will be in the region again we will definitly go back to "De Pepermolen".
I would like to thank both Joke & Kevin for the wonderfull evening. Joke who is treating the customers and serving the food Kevin is preparing with a lot of love &the cook
Thanks Willy Lenaerts

My wife and I ate here when we stayed in the town for a night. We don't speak any French, so we were delighted when the owner said she would help translate the menu for us. My wife's scampi were cooked perfect. The best part of the meals were the homemade sauces that were provided for dipping. If I'm ever in the area again, this is where ill be eating.

We went several times to this restaurant, in couple and with the children and with friends, and every visit was a great experience. The yuong couple who started this restaurant some years ago (there is no B&B any more) are really very kind, they want to please you all the way in a nice, romantic and quiet restaurant. The chef cookes with very fresh products, and makes every plate a joy to look at and to taste. There is a lovely menu, great payable wines, and with nice weather there is a superb outside terrace ! You are certainly welcome with (older) children, but there is no special "children's menu". If you are in the region, you have to do a visit to Lissewege, with a lovely lunch or diner in this restaurant, certainly the best value far in the region !! And a perfect price/qualkity. In summer or winter, every seasons menu is a nice nice surprise !!

This restaurant is located in the middle of the beautiful village of Lissewege.
The welcome and service are nice and smiling and in several languages.
The setting is nice.
On the day of our visit there was the festival of lights in the village and the restaurant was very crowded. We could not choose à la carte but between 2 menus. This was communicated to us at the time of Reservation and we could nevertheless choose between several starters and dishes. Everything was very good.
The price/Award ratio is OK.
In short, a nice experience to redo and a restaurant that I can recommend without hesitation.
