The building is rustic and undersells the delights inside. The menu has many tempting duck an mushroom dishes. We both choose the Table d'Hote, but we were able to make a couple substitutions with no problems. We had the dear and the duck confetti with morels mushroom sauce. Each we excellent choices. While dinning, we saw the chef walk out... More

Authentic French cuisine, well prepared. Dining room is a bit noisy and crowded, but service was good - sometimes a bit hard to get their attention. Nice wine list, good table d'hote at a reasonable price ($47 when we were there). Not as sophisticated or as romantic as it's competition on the other side of Chelsea, but worth the trip

We enjoyed the famous "Beggar's Chicken" and were so delighted with the presentation, the scrumptious taste and can't wait to return. We have also enjoyed many Sunday Brunches and we always bring our out of town guests to this fabulous place in the woods. Thank you Chef Jean Claude. Gisele

Reservation is required on a Saturday night. The Chief was in the dinning room and available for a chat. The "Table d'Hote" is 49$ for 3 services. The food was very good. Presentation was nice. Service at the right level for that kind of restaurant. Will come back.

Very nice rustic setting just on the outskirts of Gatineau Park. The brunch is fixed price with four courses and for the most part come on plates to share with your fellow guests at the table. Presentation and ingredients are superb. Everything is fresh and homemade. The chef even came out to each table when we had finished our meal.... More

My wife and I, together with a small group of guests, had our wedding dinner here at the end of May. The restaurant is located in a country setting, there is a lovely Zen garden on the grounds and a large parking lot to accommodate guests. We were seated upstairs in a smaller dining room. The restaurant was hosting a... More

Friendly, delicious and not pretentious - take the time to enjoy the experience. The menu is extensive but remains local and very well composed. The flavours were beautifully developed while remaining simple, and the portion sizes will leave you happily satisfied. A definite must!

Food & presentation top notch. Service very good. Charming atmosphere in country setting. Pleasant bilingual staff eager to please. Must try the table d'ote. Great value. Have tried several restaurants in the Montreal Toronto Ottawa corridor & this one takes the top prize. G & L Luskville Qc

This quaint restaurant is located just outside Old Chelsea, Quebec, on the edge of the forest that is Gatineau Park (hence its name). The impression as one approaches is that of a cozy cottage, perhaps belonging to grandma or Snow White. It's partially hidden by shrubbery, and lilies of the valley carpet the outside. Vegetables and herbs grow in a... More
