I really like True South, there are not that many places in the suburbs with decent craft beer on tap and a nice location and proper restaurant. However, I go there despite the food. It's not that there is anything wrong with it, I just don't get excited by the menu (Argentinian) and it seems over priced. The industrial fit... More

Have enjoyed many meals at True South and have never been disappointed. All of the dishes we have tried have been to a high standard and the service fast and friendly. There have been dishes I personally did not like however that's more about my tastes and less about the cooking. I must admit I could eat the spinach fritters... More

After confidently naming True South one of my staples for a drink and great food for years, I was so disappointed last night. Food was very average and service less than satisfactory. I am not entirely sure but I think the menu has been culled, as some of my favorites didn't seem to be there. For every dish we had... More

Needed a break so went in for beer and chips. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Ended up having the tapas as well - beautifully done. WIll try a more substantial meal next time.

This is a micro-brewery and restaurant. I have tried the beer here, but not the food. The beer is great. I believe the food is some type of South American cuisine (Argentinian?). I am sure that this would be excellent. I understand one of the dishes they serve is pig on a spit.

The suckling pig was excellent. The kids really enjoyed the top quality food a great spot close to home with local beers and good wine list. Can't go past the suckling pig. Will be back.

First time dining at true south, and let me say we will be returning, we were recommended the best from the menu by our server (English guy, thanks mate) and a nice bottle of Sangiovese. Enjoyed the food very much and everyone was super friendly.

We had a great night at True South, table of four, my partner and two adult daughters. On arrival our table wasn't quite ready, we were a little early so we had a drink at the bar, delicious cocktails and a very refreshing alcoholic ginger beer. Less than 10 mins later and we were able to move to our table.... More

The decision made by the new owners is very bizarre. As more restaurants move towards craft beer and less CUB swill this place has killed off their mini brewery and whats left is your stock standard crap such as James Squire 150 Lashes and Carlton Draught. I definitely won't be going back anymore. Why would they kill off their point... More
