Awesome surroundings, awesome staff and lovely food. We ate here more than one time, and I gladly recommend it. If you are in Tuscany, nearby so don't miss to pay this restaurant a visit. You won't regret it! :-)

Nice rooms, friendly staff - especially Roberta. And we loved the food on the terrace. Also our guests liked the rooms and the view. The hotel is located on a hill overlooking poppi and the castle'

La Torricella is a restaurant at a great location. Views on the medieval castle of Poppi. It is an 'easy going' restaurant. No dress code. Large groups and kids ok. Food is reasonable, consistent with pricing. Only one problem: when it is busy the staff get overwhelmed and lose track of things. Food arrives late. They forget things like extra... More

We came here with friends. The view is outstanding, and the owner of the restaurant was there. Very friendly. The food was good, but not great. Service was perfectly fine. We ordered crostini, and thought we were getting one for the table, we ended up each getting our own. Which was a bit more food than we expected.

We came here for an evening meal and although the Gnocci was okay, it was nothing special and another from my party said the sheeps cheese terrine also could have been better. When the main courses came, the fried rabbit and chicken I ordered were not what I had expected at all and were battered instead of lightly fried so... More

The food is ok, but not very special. We had to wait too long. The wines on the menu are not all there to order. But the view is panoramic.

We did not stay in the hotel, only tried the restaurant, and it was exceptional. Gnochetti with nettles, fresh pasta with truffles, local wine - all that is best about Italian country cuisine. The service, ambience, and price were all extremely customer friendly, and the impressive solar panels are commendable. Definitely to be recommended, and well worth the detour (it... More

The setting of this restaurant is beautiful, especially at night when the castle is lite up. We were a party of 16 arriving for dinner around 8pm. We ordered antipasto plates and various individual pizzas as well as a few individual meat dishes. Having dinned out several times during our stay in The area, we were used to the restaurants...
