Eight of us had a great meal, lots of fried food so couldn’t eat here daily lol, one thing we found out they had items available but not on the menu. Maybe a chalk board with off-menu items?
Would cone back for a quick lunch...for sure!More
Mainstreet Landing is easy to find, right on Lakehurst Rd. The restaurant is right on the water and the patio has an excellent view of the canal leading to the locks. We have been there twice and had fish and chips both times. The meals...were great and the service was very good. We would definitely go again if we were in the area.More
Enjoyed sitting outdoors by the river. Chicken club was very good. Nice staff. As I was solo they were going to make me wait until a table for two opened up, but since that did not happen (after a 10 min wait) they just seated...me at a larger table, which was appreciated.More
Had a delicious poutine and Reuben sandwich. Tried to order a Damon sandwich but it was unavailable as it’s end of season. Prompt and pleasant service was appreciated. A warm day in the patio by the Trent would be lovely.
We needed to find a place for dinner near Buckhorn and were told this place even lets you bring your dog onto the patio. The staff were all very friendly, even on the phone. They sat us on the edge of the patio so our...dog could lay down, and they brought him a bowl of water. Eating out in the patio was so nice with the sun & breeze and great view of the river and boats going by. Our menu choices were the beef dip and pulled chicken, both great and the fries are amazing.More
We were here the morning of the Rock The Locks festival. We went to the back "Take Out" window, only to find they didn't open until 11:30. They sent us around front, inside the restaurant to oder. Same kitchen, same cook staff, but different desk,...which was fine, so we decided what we wanted based on the posted price list. 3 burgers and fries, $10.95 each. No problem. We went inside, waited for the wait staff to fill their current orders (they were pretty busy) and when I told them we wanted food, but not a table, they referred me to the take out window, which just referred me here. They didn't know the takeout window was closed til 11:30. Once we told them, I was sent to the bar, and made my order. Service was friendly and pleasant, even under festival traffic, It wasn't a long wait, and the burgers and fries were fantastic. Great flavor, great texture, great portions. The only disappointment was when I paid my bill, the 3 burgers posted $10.95 each rang up to a bit over $50... $15 each. That was a surprise, and I don't know if they are automatically $5 more from the inside desk vs the take-out window, or if everything was suddenly $5 more because of the festival without notice...More
Patio is awesome! We were seated quickly on the patio, there were tables readily available. Prior to ordering we requested to move to an empty table that had customers vacating that was more shaded. We were told no because there were people waiting for tables....uhhh...moving tables still leave a table available....we listened to 2 other tables who made the same request and were denied simply because of a waiting list for the patio....then all of a sudden 2 other tables were allowed to move with no problem so not sure what the issue is. Service was slow, dirty dishes were not cleared, we were offered pop refills and were clearly told we have to pay for them which was fine but they refills never came. I have never not left a tip for a server at a restaurant but this server got $0. Worst service I’ve had in a very long time. No wonder this place is no longer open for breakfast. I’ve been coming here for 5 years and won’t be backMore
Came for breakfast only to find out they’re closed. We are former locals and stop by once a summer to sit and watch the boats even though the food isn’t anything special. Good thing the Olde Ice House across the road was open! Better food...over there anyway but be patient, I suspect they have been picking up a lot of customers just like us so it’s a little busy :)More
