Much, much better than your average seaside teashop. The food is high quality and nicely presented. Friendly staff and reasonable prices, all in a very convenient location. What more can you ask? Come to think of it, the only improvement to be made could be the tea, which was weak and served in old fashioned steel teapots which leak when... More

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and we really appreciate your taking the time to post. I am sorry that on this occasion the tea was not to your liking. Had you brought this to our attention, we would have been happy to provide an additional teabag. We are gearing up for the summer season and new teapots... More

Lovely rustic beachfront cafe. We had fish and chips which were delicious. Friendly service and cheerful decor. Only gripe was the cutlery which needed a wipe over.

Thank you for your recent review and I am pleased that you enjoyed your fish and chips. The cutlery does sometimes gather water stains from the dishwasher and at busy times we don’t always have time to polish it but we will make every effort to ensure it is suitably shiny. Brett Dyson, owner More

Came by this cafe on a late afternoon cycle in the area. Pots of tea, fantastic location and a chat to the owner who gave us good tips on cycle routes. Headed straight back the next morning for coffee and a yummy breakfast. Chatted to other punters, then took takeout drinks to sit on the beach in the spring sun... More

I took our US visitors here knowing that the view would be a revelation - coming as they do from the mid-west. The views over to the IOW were as stunning as ever. Yes - it's the location that gets people here - but the menu and service are wonderful too. We didn't have a main meal this time but... More

I love it here! The food has always been great. Fresh, tasty and appropriately priced. I'd highly recommend the fritto misto in particular. Even though sometimes very busy the staff are always attentive and don't leave you unserved for hours. Great location. Good parking (council car park) with cheap parking in the low season, a bit more in the summer.

I suppose it was the Easter holidays, and it was a nice day, but it was a good job we rang to book a table, otherwise we would have been forced to wait or sit outside in the chill for lunch! The service was pretty good considering the packed tables, and the food was plentiful and tasty, with a menu... More

As regular seasonal visitors to this part of the world, we always dive straight into this little gem, and visit regularly!! This lovely spot just off the beach ( only by yards - despite the name) is always worth a visit. If you just want to grab a drink or snack, or a decent meal - this is the spot... More

It does what it says on the tin! And then a bit more. Its right on the beach (great for walking off the excellent breakfast at Billy's); it serves traditional British café fare made with high quality local ingredients, in a simple, modern style. Friendly café ambience, with driftwood models of boats floating in the rafters, and shabby chic chairs... More

Just returned from a very good late breakfast at this very popular restaurant. The location is great, right on the beach with a great view of the IOW, always a very bright, sunny feel. The staff are very attentive and friendly and the service is good considering all food is made to order. We both had English breakfasts which had... More

Description
Described in The Sunday Telegraph as 'The Best Beach Café in the World', Billy's on The Beach is a fully licensed beach cafe with fantastic views, just along the beach from East Wittering with good parking, great staff, and tasty beachside food. Everything we produce is cooked fresh to order or prepared daily, from fish & chips to burgers, moules frites, kippers, breakfasts, brunches, lunches and three course dinners on every day of the week in the summer except Sundays. We do coffees, cakes, scones, hot chocolates for chilly surfers, ice cream sundaes for kids, big & small, sundowners, wines, and our web site tells you all about us . Come and visit us if you get to the south coast, or visit our sister cafe Billy's on the Road, just north of Billingshurst on the A29. We look forward to welcoming you.
