This place is AMAZING!! We came here on our last night and not not have been happier to have discovered and experienced this little gem. Service was excellent throughout with that staff really knowledgeable about the dishes, always smiles on the staff's faces despite them being incredibly busy. The food itself was just delicious and really well thought out and prepared...I'm a real foodie and this was as good as anything I've ever had before, would recommend the Sea Bass and Mountain salad, both were scrumptious. As for the view and sunset, another amazing find...we've also been to see the sunset in Kerry and Kampi but here it was just different, the relaxed atmosphere, the sunset terrace...i cant quiet put my finger on it..all I can say is go and see for yourself - I very much doubt you will be in any way disappointed. As they get quiet busy in the evening for the sunset dinners it's worthwhile calling ahead to make a reservation to avoid disappointment or having to wait.

Amazing restaurant and view

We had the tree house booked privately in the restaurant to celebrate our engagement and the staff really made this a special evening for us. The staff were all extremely attentive and really helped us to celebrate with personal touches. The food was fantastic and extremely large portions for a very reasonable price. The views were also incredible. Definitely recommend to get there in time for sun set as it made the whole restaurant look magical!

I have mixed feelings. It is because we were there twice: in September and then in October, and the 2 visits had differences. Not in the location, because the view from here is spectacular. You should go there just before the sun goes down, because you can experience a fantastic sunset. The place is nicely decorated, and the owner (or the head of the waiters) is very professional. Both times, there was quite a big crowd, so the staff was very busy, which you can understand. My problem is with the huge difference in the quality of food between the two visits. In September, everything was fabulous, we left the place with a huge smile and with nice memories. I would rate that as 5 out of 5. However, when we went back in October, the food was pretty mid-range (if not even worse). It was as if the chef had left after September, or he/she had a bad day. I can not give more then 3 ouf 5. I hope, that was only a glitch because if you have such a great view then you should catch up with it with the quality of your food. Nevertheless, I can recommend this place. This is off the beaten track but it is worth going there. Take warm clothes since the temperature can drop in the evening!

The restaurant is decorated ver y unique and nicely. A mix between victorian and mediterranean style. There are not many food choices though and the prices are high for Greece (9€ for a Greek salad 15-19€ for a main course). The food is nice, although not necessarily traditional greek, more like sort of italian-greek fusion. I would not recommend the pasta but the fish and pork dishes are very good and come in huge portions. Make sure you make a reservation and organize some car to get there. All together, it’s a very nice place for a special occasion or a romantic dinner but if you are looking for a greek taverna experience you should pick another place.

Unfortunately the menu was different from the one on their webpage.. We decided to book a table according to the uploaded pictures from their dishes. The waitress informed us the menu had changed due to covid-19 but there was no information for the food on their page. The sunrise was magic and the view breathtaking.. Too bad the food wasn't as good as we expected to be!!

Spectacular views and great food!

One of the most beautiful restaurant settings I have ever dined in. We came here twice during our holiday and loved it both times. The first table had views out over the green hills - simply stunning. The second time we sat on the decking with views of the sunset, difficult to say which was more beautiful! The starters were my favourite, a small meze was given ‘on the house’ each time. The chicken rolls and zucchini balls were fantastic!

A must do to see the gorgeous sunset

After a couple of cocktails at the sunset bar we wandered over to the restaurant who were busy but they got us in . They found us a table and gave us the menus which covered a wide variety of dishes . The service was really good and the waitress was very friendly the maitre d came and said hello and the food was nice and reasonably priced . The restaurant was busy and had that feel but was efficient . Definitely on my do again list Thankyou to the maitre d and the staff for the service and making us feel at home

Wonderful food with a gorgeous view in a beatuful family-owned restaurant

We stayed in the nearby village for a week recently and we ate here a few times. The food was delicious, and the view from the restaurant is stunning! The menu is contemporary and everything cooked to perfection, with prices that we thought were very reasonable (a little pricier than restaurants in the more touristy parts of the island, but definitely worth it!). The staff absolutely make this restaurant even more fantastic - the whole team are friendly and attentive, and there is a real family vibe. Nice for couples, families, or friends - would recommend to anyone visiting Zakynthos!

Fabulous Setting

My friend was getting married in Zante so we had to find a location for a pre wedding dinner for 35 people. This restaurant was chosen for it’s beautiful views and setting. All was reserved very easily online from the uk with both meat and veg options aswell as 3 allergy requests met, The staff were extremely helpful with any advice and Information I asked for. I’m so glad like all of the rest of the group that this restaurant was chosen. The portion sizes were plentiful and as you can imagine a large group has many different requests. The staff worked very hard and were very friendly. If I had more time I would of revisited with my boyfriend for a romantic meal. Well done to all , beautiful restaurant

The location, views, decor and atmosphere are perfect. Having not made a reservation we were lucky to get the last remaining table out in the terrace. Parts of our experience were lovely, whilst others were mediocre. The staff team could not have been more helpful, friendly and professional. We were offered an amuse bouche of homemade tomato gazpacho which was flavoursome. There were a few gaps in service where I assume the kitchen got its timings in a mix. For example, there was a long wait between our individual starters being served. Serving staff improvised and brought sharing plates which was fine for us. It wasn’t until the second starter plate was delivered after some time that an apology and explanation was offered. The crispy rolls were great, and the frisssa made with local bread delicious. We were quite full after this and the long wait for the main course was a blessing in disguise. The main courses were okay, whilst tasty the finesse on presentation given in earlier courses had not been considered here. After the meal we were offered a complimentary digestif of local liquor that was very tasty. Overall a nice evening.

My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Cavebar Damianos and absolutely loved the whole experience. The setting on the mountain overlooking the sea with uninterrupted sunset views, is stunning and worth the visit alone. Often restaurants like these are characterised by great ambience but poor food or service. Not here, the food was exceptional with a very varied menu. The staff from the manager to the 2 waitresses who served us were second to none and we felt like we were treated like family there. We own a luxury travel company and are use to eating in excellent restaurants throughout the world, I will happily say that this was one up there with one of the best meals we have had. Thank you for making our anniversary so special - Graham & Julia

The Cave of Damianos is a restaurant in an enormous place. Maria is a perfect manager with a splendid smile and she is very helpful for everybody. All of the personnel are very kind and eager to assist you. The menu is full of everything. What ever you want you can find it. The ribeye and the roast chicken are delicious. The prices are very good considering the place and the quality of the meal. After the dinner there are stone sofas where you can enjoy the spectacular sunset and the serving desserts. Taste the panacota.... Just amazing. Maybe the best restaurant in Zakynthos.

Here you must have eaten once!! The food is really mega delicious. I had the Beef bone in sirloin steak and I really never got such a big, hugely tasty and tender piece of meat for this price. In addition, I finished the truffle paste, which was deliciously creamy, but also really tasted like truffle and got an insanely tasty lamb pot. All the food was so flavorful by spices and not by adding a lot of salt. The staff was really mega nice, so we had come back again. The second time she recognized us and we were even put in a place, where you normally have to spend at least 50 euros to be allowed to book. This because they liked it so much that we came for a second time. The rosé is also delicious. Then I haven’t mentioned the view, because my god, it’s a bit like going into heaven, so beautiful and unspoilt nature.

We were with friends to have an aperitif (only drinks), or so we were told, with the possibility of ordering some appetizer. A very lovely place. The view was super amazing, the music was super romantic and the staff was very-very kind and helpful. I recommend this place for every couple for a romantic evening. But for a front view-table you must make a reservation in advance and this view with the sunset in front of you is totally guaranteed.
