We "the hot tubbers" had a great time in the pub with "Sunday Roast - brilliant and very tasty, followed after a few hours rest a Quiz Night with the locals and they made us feel very welcome". The land lady and daughter made us feel very welcome and we would very much recommend it.

Had a lovely home cooked meal yesterday, beef stew and dumplings after a great day out locally, with a Roaring open fire and wonderful service, I need ask for nothing else. great to see a pub with staff that actually enjoy being there. I believe you can always judge how an establishment is kept by how clean the toilets are... More

Coming from a town and visiting cities which have razzle dazzle pubs with loud music, bouncers and every cocktail known (and unknown) it was great to frequent a pub that retained it's unique 'ye olde' style and village welcoming. We were only in the area a few days & with 3 kids in tow (2 x 13 & a 10... More

The Tharp Arms is an amazingly friendly pub where everyone is welcome. This pub has Open Mike Nights once a month which is very popular, last night was no exception, brilliant night was had by all. Bev the Landlady is doing a fantastic job with the help of Charlotte. The Pub just gets better and better.

Met up with some friends for a Sunday lunch. Clean and tidy on the outside. Warm welcome, the real ale was first class. Not a huge choice, but what we had was very tasty. Very good value.

Use this pub on a regular basis and am always welcomed with smiley faces! Food is good pub food and is pretty reasonable. Nothing seems to be too much for the land lady and Lord! Also the ales change pretty regularly which always keeps me coming back. Sundew and wherry when I last checked a winner in my books!

Had a lovely meal here last night. We are not local, but made very welcome. The lady and gentleman serving us could not do enough, even though the bar was full due to FA cup final. The food was good pub food at a very reasonable price, I would definitely go back if in the area.

there were 3 vegetarians in our party of 4 when we lunched at this pub on 27th February. Although we were late in arriving, we were warmly welcomed by our charming hosts and told that our meal would be freshly cooked. There was a log fire burning and we were made to feel at home. There was a good choice... More
