I ate dinner here on a Sunday evening as I was staying in the adjacent Premier Inn. Recent reviews looked terrible but my experience was fine. It is what it is - never going to be fine dining - but staff were polite, willing & helpful. I ordered a steak medium rare & it was cooked perfectly. Have paid a... More

Terrible dining experience. Food is either microwaved or fried and they can't get that right. Orders are usually wrong and expect a 40 minute wait between courses. You never know which course you'll get first. The staff, although polite at times, are inexperienced and don't have a clue what they are doing. Just eat somewhere else, anywhere else. P.S. -... Stayed over on business at Premier Inn next door, the first evening my meal was forgotten, with a number of other later arriving tables served first - ok one error I thought. Breakfast (poached egg, with a few beans) I thought - "what could go wrong?) One poor woman on her own was probably never going to work, 07:00 with... More

Visited this establishment lots of times and never had a bad word to say.... Went today for my tea asked the waitress if the chef could make me a cheese omelette and they point blank refused I had to settle for gammon with salad... a little desgretion goes a long way when you are a regular visitor and the menu... We visited this place for Sunday lunch. We had to wait ages for drinks( only one serving but plenty of staff around). Lukewarm soup arrived, no beef on the carvery ( apparently still in the oven), hard roast potatoes, watery swede. The waitress then seemed surprised when we complained!!! Never been to such a horrible disorganized Brewers Fayre. Oh yes,... More

Ordered a chicken and bacon salad which came out covered in black, burnt gristle. I sent it back and when the new one came out the chicken was like rock! I persevered as I was starving because of waiting for the original to be redone, it's not the first time I've had sub standard food here. The manager was nice... More

This is by far the dirtiest restaurant I have ever been in. Had a meal Sunday night 29th. Partner had to have his food reheated. Cold chips on my plate. Promised fresh chips which never arrived. The help yourself drinks area resembled a war zone. Just plain dirty! No excuse for it. It was very quiet and some cleaning could... More

Attached to the Premier inn it is advisable to book early as on the 2 nights I used it people were being turned away. The staff although friendly were run off their feet resulting in long waits for all courses. Couldn't believe 1st night no steaks.second night although booked had a 15 min wait . The dinners and breakfast were... More
