One of the best Tavernas in Paphos district! ALL the dishes we have tried over our visits are wonderful, with special commendations for the mixed starters, the Stifado (one of the best we've ever had in Cyprus) and the Moussaka which is not as greasy...as in most other places and delightful! The village wine is very good and so is the service! One of our regional favorites and highly recommended...More

I had the meze, it was beautiful salad served in a crusty loaf, the stifado, is the best I’ve tasted, the service is amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it, don’t hesitate to eat here.

Having had a drink in the restaurant my 3 year old was laughing and was told by the owner to be quiet, this is not acceptable he was laughing sat at the table not causing any issues at all she was extremely rude, also they...were not wearing masks as the law states until my husband pointed this out to the lady and took a photo and told her he would report her to the authorities and then she put the mask on this is just totally unacceptable and the way we were spoken to is just terrible and we will not be recommending this place to anyone in the futureMore

Great tavern, great food, it’s a family business and the owners are very nice. I’ve been there during summer 2019 and i went there on 3/2020 as well. I recommend this to anyone who want to try traditional food of cyprus

Good service, view of the village centre, I had a lovely prawn in avocado. As it was winter the plastic walls were up on the patio and the sun warmed it. The inside looked interestting and authentic.

Our holidays in Cyprus are not complete unless we visit Efraims Tavern and Maria. We made it twice this year and on our first visit it was nice to be remembered as the 'Gusto' lady, a reference to a job that I did a few...years ago and had explained to Maria about my line of work. I had mentioned to Maria that on our second visit it would be my birthday and we had a fantastic meal with a cake, candle and an enthusiastic singing of 'Happy Birthday'. Enjoy your well earned shopping trip and holiday Maria and we are sending the 'Singing Lady' over in March to see you.More

From the time we stepped inside we were welcomed with open arms, the whole family treated us like locals. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the food is just amazing. I have been to Cyprus four times and must admit that I love the...cuisine but this place is something else. In the end we ate there 5 nights out of 6... always something different and always something to remember. Have to recommend the mezze for a taste of everything, but even the Greek salad - which you can get served inside a hollowed out loaf of bread - is fresh, looks beautiful and tastes simply delicious. Should also mention the sheftalia and stifado but whatever you order you will not be disappointed! There is a lovely mix of locals, ex pats and tourists, which in itself tells you everything you need to know. The portions are generous and prepared with great skill, and the prices extremely reasonable. A real gem of a place. I will never hear someone is coming to Cyprus without going out of my way to reccomend they pay a visit to this perfect Taverna. Thank you Maria and the family I am already looking forward to our next visit. You really helped make this trip the best one yet!More

Tasty, clean, good service, affordable prices. Worth to come for a good lunch after visiting Archaeological Park in Kouklia.

There are a lot of very nice looking restaurants within the square at Kouklia and we went to Marias on a themed dance night which run throughout the tourist season and take in all of them. She does a very decent buffet meal... More
