My husband & I went here for the first time. We were seated immediately and service was quick even with a large party sitting at a table near us. The food was good, my husband had the fish and chips while I had a Salmon dish with crab on top. The only thing I felt was lacking was the wine... More

We visit relatives in Charlton regularly and The Tavern has been serving up good food in a friendly way for decades. We were there the night of 7/6 for dinner. Myself and a companion had the open-faced ribeye special and it was excellent. Another of our party had a burger and she loved it. The only complaint, was one of... More

Out of the way but worth the trip . Very nice space with history and charm. Clean and not too kitschy. Really good service from a engaging wait person . Food was good and prompt , especially liked the red pepper soup. Went for lunch but would return because the also have a full bar. Lovely

Come to the Charlton Tavern whenever we want a guaranteed good meal. Their burger are awesome, and they have a special on Tuesday nights, and the burgers are $6.99. Their steaks and pasta, and sandwiches, are equally as good. Drinks are awesome. Love it.

A party of eight enjoyed a relaxing evening to celebrate my sons birthday. The wait staff was very attentive. Drink prices were about average. They had a nice selection of apps to choose from. The N>E> Clamchowder was excellent. The 12 oz prime rib was a little pricey for the size. The only problem that put a damper on the... More

Great restaurant in a beautiful community. Very cozy and warm. It seems most patrons know one another. Bar is always lively and friendly. Food is outstanding! Stuffed mushroom caps are a must. Filets are delicious and properly prepared. We'll return time and time again!
