Well, we were there on a gorgeous fall Saturday morning - not sugaring-off season, but maple was definitely the theme. The decor is classic maple sugar shack, with log walls, bench table seating, and an enormous stone fireplace. Our waitress was cheerful and efficient and took our joshing around well and dished it right back. The breakfast menu was extensive... More

Hit the day right it was not busy. Service was good food was good. We have been here before when it was all you can eat pancakes with cost going up it must be hard to offer this, that is why they don't any more.

Stopped here on a trip between Halifax and Charlotte Town having been recommended it by the hotel reception. It's a lovely farm in a beautiful setting. We had a nice walk on the trail set out through the surrounding woods before enjoying pancakes in the large wood cabin. There is a great choice of pancakes and other hot food and... More

We will often get to Sugar Moon right when it opens to ensure we have a seat. By the time we leave the place is full. The pancakes are amazing and the eggs dishes are great too. The breakfast is a great meal before the 6.2km Rogart Mt. hike!

Sugar moon is the ultimate Canadiana experience. Park the car in front of the Sugar Moon restaurant/educational centre and start off your visit with a challenging 6.2 km hike on the Rogart trial. This walk takes you through lush, dense forest filled with trees such as silver birch and maple. The forest floor is carpeted with many varieties of ferns,... More

Fantastic tour, very informative, appreciate all the maple syrup history and the story behind the Sugar Moon farm. Great breakfast! Owner and all the team members made us feel they were genuinely happy that we had stopped by. Highly recommended!

If you are in the area and in need of maple syrup don't miss out the opportunity to also have a pancake breakfast, lunch or whatever meal of the day it is time for. Also a good opportunity to hike the Rogart Mtn Trail starting at the Sugar Moon parking lot.

For anyone with food intolerances or allergies eating out can be a challenge especially with children with severe life threatening allergies. We were looking online for a Sugar Maple tour for a family day out and came across Sugar Moon Farm. The website mentioned that additionally gluten free, peanut free and egg free foods were available so we decided to... More

After a mild snow storm on Saturday night we decided to go for a short drive to the local sugar shack. I had heard great things but never been there. The atmosphere was just what a sugar shack should be. They serve all local products or locally made products. They were wonderful, with super service and endless cup of coffee.... More

A restaurant in the country with all foods based on maple syrup. It produces its own maple syrup on site and there is a tour of the factory. Not on the way to anywhere so you have to go out of your way to get there.
