Went with a couple of Spanish background friends who knew their Spanish food. Left it to them to order. Loved the cured meats and bread, the croquettes, the chorizo and calamari for entree, the paella was excellent and plentiful. Creme brûlée was great but the Spanish donuts were too crisp - they almost snapped like a breadstick. Great atmosphere and... More

Very enjoyable. The food was very fresh, I had a wonderful monkfish, and the menu is full of variety. The lunch special includes a main meal and drink for either $14 or $12. The service was very friendly and fast. it was a busy Friday lunchtime, but the staff were very professional, and, not on the lunch menu, they made... More

Last night we came for dinner. We shared a few entrees that came quickly and food was amazing. Than we ordered 2 different Paellas that were great too! it was also surprising to see a great Spanish wine menu with lots of options and the Tempranillo wines we opened complemented the food we had very well the service was great... They have an amazing steak menu. Great pub, with excellent food and their tapas is surprising good - not just 3 olives in a dish, authentic tapas of proper proportions and bursts of flavour. Worth a visit. Great atmosphere.

We dined here on a Monday night. We were pleasantly surprised that all wine under $100 was half price if you bought a meal. The food looked great, wonderful tapas and a very good wine list. We had a meat feast, all was great quality but we were kept waiting for ages for our main course and when it arrived... More

Have eaten here before and always consistently good. The ham croquettes are crunchy on the outside and beautifully creamy inside. The calamari is golden fried and tender and the homemade chorizo with apple sauce is wonderful. The seafood paella for 3 was ample and loaded with seafood. The slightly burnt bottom of rice and sauces is so yummy. A glass... More

Just loved everything about the place. Food was amazingly good. Grilled calamari was to die for. Roast Cabrita was a standout. Will definitely be back

Spent a wonderful afternoon sitting in the courtyard enjoying some delicious Spanish tapas and Sangria. We had the fried calamari, Tumbet, selection of Spanish cured meats and the slow cooked pork belly and all meals were amazing but the slow cooked pork belly was the winner as it was the best I've ever tasted. The Sangria was one of the... More

My husband and I had drinks and dinner on a Friday night. It was cold and raining outside but warm and cosy inside. Food was fantastic as was the service. Very attentive and friendly. We had croquettes (excellent yum) and garlic and chilli prawns for entrée. The waitress even gave us extra bread to soak up the juices. For main... More

Description
The Robert Burns Hotel is the home of truly traditional Spanish cuisine, with a very Scottish name. Spaniard Urbano Gutierrez introduced the Spanish flavour to this Australian pub in 1984, back when variety in the local hospitality market was much harder to find. The Robert Burns legacy has since been passed to a new, fresh, yet still Spanish team - who bring the authentic tastes and cultures of their homeland to the Robbie Burns on Melbourne's iconic Smith Street. Patrons of all kinds are welcome and our venue is family and kid-friendly, too. If you are looking for Spanish Cuisine then dine in the restaurant, relax in the courtyard, enjoy drinks and tapas in the front bar or the wine room, and don't forget to check out Robbie's special Spanish flavoured events.
