My family and I have been coming to the Rose Inn for years. It's such a lovely welcoming pub. The staff are lovely and so are the Landlord and Landlady. The food is delicious, especially the Burgers, Ribs and pizza! I would definitely recommend this pub. Although is does get busy so I advise you to book

This is a fabulous real pub. Lots of local drinkers line the bar. However I'm realising there is a reason you can get a table on a Sunday for lunch. The food is ok if you want feeding but not good if you are going for the food. I would say most of it is bought in and there isn't... More

Visited with family including our 1 yr old granddaughter. Friendly staff with h good service. Daughter and I ordered the mushroom soup which was lovely but unfortunately had to be sent back as it was nigh on cold. Can't say it was a lot warmer when it returned. Partner and son in laws meals were good. However the outstanding service... More

The previous owners at this pub ran a very tight ship. We visited many times over the years. Sadly it is a shadow of its former self and we won't be returning. On our last visit one of our party had watery and tasteless soup, the battered haddock had been 'battered' into the size of a fishfinger and was commented... More

Popped in for lunch whilst having a drive about. I had the burger, my partner had gammon, food was excellent quality, well cooked in generous portions. Great atmosphere and staff were lovely. Homemade coleslaw was amazing.

Stopped off to have a lunchtime snack. Great outside area and cosy inside. Nothing was too much trouble and a great selection of beers and ciders to suit us both. Had live music in the garden and the landlord was so friendly. So pleased that my friend recommended the Rose Inn..will definitely recommend and return.

It's 18 years since we moved away from Wickhambreaux. When we left the Rose had closed after the then landlord went bust and did a bunk. It has been fabulously restored, and, along with the school which our kids attended, and the church, is once again the fitting heart to a beautiful Kentish village. We had walked to the pub... More

Popped in here for dinner after walking out of the Red Lion at Stodmarsh and we definately made the right choice. A wonderful busy atmosphere with delicious food at reasonable prices with good portions. Beer is always decent too!

While I was doing family research on some ancestors who left Wickhambreaux for Australia in the 19th century, I had hoped to have lunch at The Rose Inn. The fame of its cuisine was noted even in Canterbury where the name of the inn and the village are synonymous. Recently, I was able to realise that goal. I was not... More
