This busy Cafe/General Store sits on an old pier (built 1909) right on beautiful Pittwater in Sydney’s North (about 1 hour’s drive (36 kms) from Sydney’s CBD). It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open from 6:30 every day, closing at 8pm on Mon-Wed, and 10pm Thurs-Sun. Seating is on an open (covered) deck and there is a function... More

I visited this place on Sunday afternoon and had excellent seafood platter for $39 that was quite adequate for two people. However, I had a problem with the band that they apparently have there each Sunday. They were extremely loud and made any conversation virtually impossible. Why they bother? Even upstairs we were affected by their noise and it was... More

Seafood Platter (grilled) is definitely worth tasting (extra big portion), but I can also recommend Risotto Nero which was heavenly good. I also had nicest bottle of cabarnet sauvignon that may be in the higher price level, but definitely worth it. Atmosphere is more than friendly and live music can contribute at specific hours. Gorgeous sunset too :)

The Waterfront is a unique place, fine dining it isn't but it has good wholesome food, is in a fabulous setting; probably one of the best on the Northern Beaches and the views of Pittwater are sensational. The restaurant has a "pay as you go" arrangement so you order each course separately. The menu is pretty varied but it is... More

Come where the rich mingle and laze away the hot afternoon. A real in the middle of a picturesque location. It's a long drive from any direction but well worth it. Once you arrive you find attentive and polite staff, larger than average food portions and great dessert options. I had the beef burger and she had the fish burger.... More

This has a wonderful setting. Right on the water (in fact parts of it are over the water). The view is lovely and the hosts have set it up like a warm, inviting, place that feels a bit like home. Flowers from their garden and pride in the quality of the food.

On our recent visit to the Northern Beaches we had breakfast twice at the Waterfront Cafe. We love the location, which is spectacular, and the food, which is really interesting and beautifully cooked and presented. However, perhaps they are becoming a victim of their own success because on neither visit did they get the order right first time (or, in... More

With a stunning location, fantastic menu and friendly (if noisy) atmosphere, this is a wonderful venue, particularly on a hot day when you can enjoy the sea breeze. Three of us shared a prawn bucket, roast beetroot salad and fig salad and it was all very good. The other member of our group ordered the flathead and chips with salad,... More

Enjoyed a beautiful afternoon sipping sparkling wine with a group of friends and their families to the sounds of a Scottish Jazz band. Menu fantastic, views spectacular. Visiting from Melbourne and this is my new go to favourite spot for a bite to eat.

Having a staycation in Sydney. Decided to have a day out with my daughters aged 16 and 12 and went to Pitt Water and Palm Beach. The Waterfront Store and Cafe has been a favourite of mine for many years. Church Point is such a beautiful spot. The cafe and the menu have been "Glammed up" over the years and... More
