Unexpected surprise

I didn't expect much, because us Slovenians sadly usually don't get treated well in tourist towns. The service was one of the best ones so far around here! The waiter (I sadly don't remember his name) was very nice and took time to explain us what was in the dishes we wanted to order and even asked us how our day was and gave us some great recommendations. The ambient is not fancy-restaurant like, but it's really great for families and couples after a long day of sport activities (that they also offer :) ). It's really relaxed. Even though the place was busy and we thought we will be stuck waiting, the food arrived quite fast. We had starter with boiled potatoes and cottage cheese, then ribs in dark beer sauce and gnochi with bolognese sauce. For desert we had local "tolminski struklji" which is a dish filled with bread crumbs, raisins and some other stuff. All of it was delicious and really felt like a true slovenian home cooked meal (we're both Slovenian so we can confirm it). The food also didn't break the bank, even if we're Slovenian and tourist towns are usually a bit pricey for us.

We had the platter for two with a selection of meat (čevapčiči, špikana pleskavica, white chicken meat), pommes frites and grilled vegetables. We also ordered lepinja bread - goes pefect with the meat. The food was very good, the portion huge, price reasonable, the location dreamy and the staff very friendly.

Little paradise

I was wondering if the Soca valley will be as beautiful as I've seen in the pictures, but frankly it is breath taking. The place Labrca, where we stayed, offered a fabulous camp location that was very well maintained and the restaurant offered some splendid dishes with very friendly staff. The guys at the sporting activities are all welcoming and communicative. I would certainly recommend this place to everyone.

Great location - but gone downhill on food

We’ve eaten here before and it was great. I don’t know what’s happened. I ordered the rib eye steak (my favourite cut) with vegetables and potatoes. It took A LONG TIME to come. More than 1.5ths from when we sat down. That’s quite a delay with kids. But onto the food. The vegetables were grilled but nearly raw. Needed doing longer. The steak was well cooked but with one huge issue. They seasoned it with pepper and then more pepper and extra pepper just to make sure. Then served it with a pepper garnish (of raw peppercorns) and a peppercorn sauce. I couldn’t taste the meat at all. Just pepper. Honestly far too much. My wife had local fish which was pretty good, but honestly - sometimes less is more. I also couldn't finish without mentioning the price - it is expensive for Tolmin. My steak cost €23. A pizza costs €14 - this is TWICE the price of the area.

Fantastic

I've been visiting Labrca for many years now and it's obvious that the management is always working hard making sure that they offer a great selection of food on the menu and on top of this, every year I notice amazing changes regarding the actual facilities of the restaurant. You can choose from a wide range of dishes and still be sure that the quality of the service and food is always excellent. I've probably visited this place 50 times during the last 7 years and not once I've had any problems. Staff is always friendly, service is very quick, and the quality and selection of good is excellent. If the weather allow us, we like to sit on the balcony overlooking the river. The view from this restaurant is really amazing. They also have a playground area for children that over the years have been transformed into a fantastic place for the young ones to enjoy. The good thing is that you can keep an eye on them from the balcony. I highly recommend it!

Excellent experience of hospitality, adventue and good food

We spent our holiday in Labrca where we were treated like kings! Their team took care of everything: from our accommodation right next to Soča river in a tent, to a fantastic breakfast with local food, sports activities on the river and great food in their Labrca restaurant. Hads off to the team who has great energy which is contagius... Of course nature there is magical and has some special impact to us, but it is the people who really make a difference - an adventure special ❤

Amazing food and very friendly stuff

We stayed at labrca glamping and enjoyed the buffet breakfast at labrca restaurant - one of the best breakfasts in my life, there was fresh bread, pasteries, eggs, amazing coffee. We also ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was absolutely mindblowing, everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The stuff is also really nice and takes time for each individual customer - they even told us where each ingredient is from and how long does it take to marinate the meat etc. For the service you get it is more than worth the money :)

If you are about food - nothing really special

The taste of food is very very average, also we could't select the table, we were put inside: very hot there, fans don't make difference, it seems. Ok, covid etc. but on the other hand there were no soap in man's toilet. Further, excluding drinks and pizza, prizes are ca. 25% higher than average. Quantity of food is also below expectations what comes somehow good regarding the foremetioned quality of it. We also find, you won't believe a piece of plastic in gnochi with mushrooms (too cooked and čut on too small, anyway, the cheef said "oops" about pladtic piece and that was all). Can not recommended.

Very tasty fresh trout and kind staff

We arrived just before closing time and were still served properly and kindly. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious fresh trout and home made "štruklji". We could eat twice the portion because everything was so tasty and fresh! We also drank some red wine from Brda region and the experience was complete. Delicious food, nice view, and an amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

Typical family restaurant near Soča - tasty meals

It's your typical family-lunchtime restaurant with a huge terrace and the standard menu - pizza, meat, trout and calamari. Food was much tastier then in similar places around which was a pleasant surprise. Of course its' best part is the view of Soča river and the surrounding mountains, so if you're brave enough (because of the temperatures), you can have a dip before or after your meal. The staff is nice and quick (although the place is packed during peak hours). The price - 30 euros for two people, including drinks.

Highly recommended!! We drove from Platischis to Kobarid for gasoline but it was already lunch time and most of the restaurants in Kobarid were either closed or fully reserved. My husband happened to see Maya & Labrca in google maps, it was not so far from Kobarid and they happily accomodated us (7 adults & 7 kids) without reservation upon calling them. I didn't have any expectations in this area. But when we arrived, we were all wowed!! It was in between the mountains and river. There was a play area for kids, enough parking space. Restaurant has a patio for drinks i believe, beautiful open dining area with wooden ceiling and some tables outside too! Food was good, in big portions at reasonable price. Staff were really kind and helpful. We will definitely come back to eat and do their water activities next time! 😊

Huge portions, nice terrace

If you're looking for culinary wonders, then this place is not for you. But if you want a good meal with a good beer and a great view - that's the place to be. The menu has pizza, pasta, burgers, vegetarian options and a nice selection of craft beer. Beautiful view over the mountains, doggy friendly and a chilled atmosphere. We liked it there.

Too expensive&average food

Food was served fast but it was average while overpriced. I have ordered trout with barely porridge and my husband salad with smoked trout. The fish was too salty and the porridge was slightly sour. The salad was with smoked trout but it were just few pieces. People at the next table were smoking and it was very unpleasant. We payed for this 35 EUR which was too much for such expensive.

staff was very polite and friendly. burger was good although it contained a spice which it was a bit too strong but it was still edible. prices were reasonable too. we had to wait for food for a while, but at least it was everything fresh so I guess it was worth it.

I ate one evening there were only 2 dishes left on the menu. I went there to drink a juice advertised at 1€80, they actually charge it at 2€60 and the coffees are much more expensive than advertised. For the bar part too there is barely half of the menu.
