Located in the city center of Kutaisi. Small spot but very distinctive. Friendly staff. Amazing food and local beers. Visited for first time with company and enjoyed the best khinkali ever. Tasted two different local beers. Amazing experience. Second visit was two days later, for...the same menu. Third one is also planned.More

A place the locals go for khinkali. Went there on a Monday night. Almost all tables were full, but they get free all the time as people don’t tend to sit there too long after they have eaten. Khinkali was ok, sour pickles so so,...french fries were awful. I ordered different khinkalis but unfortunately I did not get my potato Khinkali but instead got some mushroom ones. Ladies in the bar don’t really talk English or Russian and were afraid to take our order, so was not a surprise that something got mixed up. Total cost for two was 22 lari.More

Following the good reviews of TripAdvisor we went for a lunch and then for a dinner. The food is really authentic and tasty. It's in the centre of Kutaisi. One of the waitress speak English. You will see just Georgian people eating there!!! (If u...see locals eating in a restaurant means you are in the right place :D ) the bill was soooo cheap! A draft local beer is for 2 gel!! One Georgian dumpling start from 0.70 gel ( and they are very big). 0.25 of chacha (which is their "Grappa") was for 4 gel!! Trust me guys, if you are a tourist and you want to eat genuine Georgian food without spending a lot, just come in EL Paso. Really suggested!!!More

The rough diamond in the city center! Really delicious food, everything we’ve tried was very tasty. Plus it’s super affordable ( the cheapest from all the bar/restaurant experience in Kutaisi). A lot of local people which indicates that it’s not only for tourist hence the...price and food quality is reasonable. Would be back and can recommend it for sure!More

We visited this restaurant with a company of 5. We ordered different Georgian meals like khinkali, khachapuri, flatbread, also kebab, shashlik and ravioli. Everything was tasty. The waitress was friendly and patient to us, and she speaks English. It was a bit strange, that we...got our meals with 5-10 minutes differences, so we couldn't start to eat together. (But it was the same in all of the Georgian restaurant we visited, maybe it is a local habit to share every food with your company, and maybe locals have different conceptions about main and side dishes. But I don't know.) At the end of the evening we wanted to split the bill. The waitress was helpful, although we didn't tell her earlier, that we need to separate the bills.More

If you want to try different type of khinkali, it is a good place. They have 5 different types (mushed potatoes, mushrooms, cheese, and two with meat) good, and cheap. Overall they have not a lot of food option, but do have traditional Georgian bread...and some very good meat barbecue.More

If you are looking for a really affordable restaurant, then the el paso is your choice. The cusine is Georgian solely and this is not a problem.

Be careful about standard turist cheats ... they bring things that seems included in ordered dish, but it is extra and they charge it...

Not sure why this place is mentioned in the guidebooks, it has nothing going for it. The waiter was the rudest person we encountered in Georgia, we had a few questions about the menu and were discussing what to order and he was scoffing at...us, he took ages to come down in the first place and when the person I was with raised her hand to get his attention he rolled his eyes. He also got the order wrong (bringing 1 Kinkali instead of 1 portion of 5 even though he specifically said there was a minimum of 5), but we were happy with that as it meant we could leave quicker. When we asked for the bill he just came down and said 10, I asked for a receipt as this didn't add up and he went back and scribbled down the beers we had and some of the food which only added up to 4 lari, in total it should have been 7. All the time the manager is sitting at a table next to us watching Georgia's Got Talent loudly on his phone. Avoid this place, I would recommend going to Palaty instead, we had a great meal there the night beforeMore
