We spent two nights at Pastravaria Alex and it was by far the best since we left home. Very nice place, large room, very clean and cozy, Romanian traditional style. The food was also very very very good, large dishes, extremely tasteful, fresh. And last but not least, friendly and welcoming personnel. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and... More

We were there with my family for dinner. We choose the location after some friends recommended it. The scenery is fantastic and we saw some big fishes in the pool. But the problems appeared when we tried to find a free table. It took us 30 minutes to sit down. After another 30 minutes we left because no waiter came... More

Fresh trout with polenta plus other delicious dishes. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. A chance to eat genuine Romanian food. Not to be missed!!!

Lovely people, great restaurant, a very Romanian experience. Eating is under cover but beware of mosquitoes so if you are prone to bites take your repellent because you are sitting above the water.

It was a rainy and cold day, but the choice of having lunch there was the best decision we made that day. The trout was delicious! the hosts were amazing and they even dressed us in big fur cloaks, so as not to catch a cold. You can even catch your own fish, and they will cook it for you.

This is a very large restaurant with loads of tables to sit at outside. We were inside as it was Autumn and we were struck by the number of locals, couples and families eating here. Apparently in summer the queues are enormous. Famous for its trout which are bred right outside the restaurant in the ponds. Very picturesque setting with... More

A marvellous location with a lake and a waterfall, arranged in the traditional style. You can see many trouts and the meal you served by waiters in traditional costumes. The fresh trout dishes are delicious. It is a very good place to relax.

Probably the best meal we had during our trip in Romania, the staff does not speak english and the menu is written only in Rumanian but since you get here to eat their memorable trouts that is not a big problem. The location is beautiful, they only have outside seatings and it's ok even if is raining, they also have a... More
